Quest-Related EventsEdit
Before the quest:
- "I'm sorry, I'm not interested in talking with anyone at the moment."
Before speaking to Treethane Rolon:
- "It's truly terrible what has come upon the village, but I promise I'm not the one responsible. It's my duty as Spinner to teach the children about the Green Pact. I would never violate it."
You question him about the evidence you found relating to him:
- One of your fellow villagers says that as an alchemist, you use illicit plant material.
- "Alchemy is not a common practice among Wood Elves, so it's understandable that there's some confusion.
The only plant material I've ever used were leaves and flowers that naturally fell to the ground, as per our laws."

- What do you think caused your sigil to break like this?
- "My sigil. It's unfortunate, but there was a fierce storm the other night. What's a tangle of dead branches against a gale like that?
That's assuming the storm did it. Someone could have easily destroyed my sigil to make me look guilty."
- "My sigil. It's unfortunate, but there was a fierce storm the other night. What's a tangle of dead branches against a gale like that?
- How can you possibly defend this cutting of the sacred plant that I found on your alchemy stand?
- "I know what it looks like, but I didn't cut that plant. I found it in the forest by the dead tree. It was already cut. I thought it was a gift from Y'ffre, to cure my wife of her wasting sickness.
Please, you must believe me."

- Thank you for the information. (Repeated after each piece of evidence is presented.)
If Aranak is found guilty by the court:
- Treethane Rolon: "Hmmmmmmm..."
- Treethane Rolon: "After a careful review of the evidence provided to this court…"
- Treethane Rolon: "I find Spinner Eranas guilty as charged."
- Spinner Eranas: "So be it."
- Treethane Rolon: "Advocate, we have asked much of you on this terrible affair, but I must rely upon you for one final sacred task. Please escort the prisoner to the judgment chamber below."
Due to the ambiguous nature of much of the evidence, a solid case can be built for all three of the suspects. This means that it is entirely up to you who present as the culprit, if you chose Eranas and the court agrees with the evidence, you can talk with him before taking him to his punishment:
- "I didn't cut Sanguine Alendil, but I did make a potion from its flowers. I accept the judgment against me."
- Please come with me.
- Lead on, Advocate.
Speaking to him before he is off to his fate: I was foolish. I tried to convince myself that I was keeping the Pact, that my actions wouldn't catch up with me
I'm sorry. At least Gathiel lives."
You will then take him down a passage the roots of the tree, where a massive strangler will be, surrounded by bones. He will accept his fate and the strangler then awakes and drains Eranas till he dies.
- Spinner Eranas: "I'm the Spinner. The village expects more of me, and I failed them."
- Spriggan Spirit: "Blood for blood."
If Gathiel is proven guilty:
- "No. Not Gathiel. Oh, Gathiel, how could you have done this?"
If Aranak is proven guilty:
- "Aranak. After being a member of our town, living as one of us for so long, it's unbelievable that he would do something like this. Please bring him to judgement quickly, so we can close this terrible chapter."
After the quest:
If Gathiel was killed, he feels shame and will step down as Spinner:
- "I still can't believe she's gone. I don't blame you, advocate. I blame myself that I missed it.
I'm going to pass down the title of Spinner as soon as I find a suitable replacement. I can no longer be the spiritual light that Karthdar needs."
If Aranak was killed, he feels this is a lesson to be learned:
- "It's unfortunate that Aranak needed to meet such a terrible end for his crimes, but his lesson will help others avoid the same fate."
