Detailed WalkthroughEdit
After you've spoken to the Queen, confer with the Fighters Guild representative, (Darien), and with the Mages Guild representative, (Gabrielle), to learn the plan for protecting the queen. Then Gabrielle will open a portal to the parley site; it's at an isolated Dwemer ruin in neutral territory, somewhere in a hidden valley in central Bangkorai.
Here you need to take strategic position to start the next phase. The next phase is a kind of tower defense mini-game, where you need to target area-of-effect spells cast by Gabrielle at waves of Imperial Infantry. While placing the target for the spell, be conscious of the Imperials' movement, as Gabrielle's spell takes a moment to execute and so the wave will move closer to the tower (the Queen) by that time. The trick is to lead the target, a technique where you place the target just ahead of the wave's current position.
After defeating numerous waves, Gabrielle will open a portal to go down to the Queen for the final wave. You can simply jump down the ledge, if you wish. Protect the Queen until the portal back to Evermore Castle is opened. Enter it.
Once back at the castle, speak to the Queen. Wait until the rest of the crew arrives via another last-minute portal and speak again to the Queen to receive her reward, concluding the quest.
NotesEdit
- None of the enemies in this quest give experience or loot when defeated.
- It it not required to make use of the spells to complete the fight encounter in this quest.
BugsEdit
- Going down to help directly in the battle causes Gabrielle's mage allies to despawn. This then limits your access to spells (since only Gabrielle remains on the high ground) if you decide to go back up to the strategic vantage point. ?
Quest StagesEdit
<Alias=LocationHold>
) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
- Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
- Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
