The tame nix-hound at Revus Sarvani's camp

Quick WalkthroughEdit

  1. Read the notice of sale.
  2. Buy a nix-hound from Revus Sarvani or Geldis Sadri.

Detailed WalkthroughEdit

Note: This quest was originally added to your journal upon installing the Nix-Hound Creation. With the release of the Anniversary Edition, this quest no longer appears in your journal. The Nix-Hound can still be acquired from Revus.

Once you've installed the Nix-Hound Creation, you will receive this quest and a notice of sale, which directs you to talk to Revus Sarvani at his camp west of Tel Mithryn on Solstheim. Revus is not an essential NPC, so it is possible to kill him prior to installing this Creation. If this occurs, you will instead receive a different notice directing you to Geldis Sadri at The Retching Netch in Raven Rock.

Travel to Solstheim and locate the specified NPC. Offer to purchase the nix-hound for 400 gold and you will be given a spell tome that teaches you a spell to teleport the nix-hound to you. You will be directed to introduce yourself to the nearby nix-hound to complete the quest. It will now serve as an animal follower, with the added ability to carry items, provide you with random ingredients, or be sent to wait at a specific city or player house.

NotesEdit

  • The Nix-Hound Creation also adds enemy nix-hounds to the wilds of Solstheim.
  • The pet Nix-Hound behaves identically to other Creation Club pets, such as the mudcrab pet added by the Dwarven Armored Mudcrab Creation.
  • The Nix-Hound can be purchased by speaking directly to the Nix-Hound instead of Revus.

Notes
  • Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the Radiant Quest system, and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
  • If an entry is marked as "Finishes Quest" it means the quest disappears from the Active Quest list, but you may still receive new entries for that quest.
  • On the PC, it is possible to use the console to advance through the quest by entering setstage quest stage, where quest is the internal name of the quest, and stage is the number of the stage you wish to complete. It is not possible to un-complete (i.e. go back) quest stages, but it is possible to clear all stages of the quest using resetquest quest, where quest is the internal name of the quest.
