Poem
Darkness and despair grip tightly in this somber reflection on loss and resignation
As water over distant shores
In my mind darkness spreads
A nix-hound howls in the darkness
Bringing upon me my dread
Bitter wind brings no relief
Only bits of dust and sand
My house creaks all around me
I ready for the final stand
Nothing can truly be done
For me I know I am lost
When all truly is over
Who shall know the final cost
It is time to end all things
Nothing kind or bright is left
Garish figures drift unwilling
Unable to have one last rest
