Darra is a Khajiit Scout and a former slave, who makes her residence in the small House Hlaalu town of Menaan. She was formerly a slave on a plantation near Almas Thirr, but was freed by a passing adventurer. The Imperial administration in Old Ebonheart granted her a parcel of land in Menaan, where she has lived ever since to the intense resentment of the ruling Vando family. Darra herself does not seem to much mind the views of her neighbors, and is happy with her lot:
"This one used to pick comberry faster than any other, but now Darra can simply bask in the sun and drink the wine these claws once bled to make. This is a good feeling, %PCRace."
Sharp and observant, Darra is a useful witness during the events of Death of an Agent, providing information on suspicious activity. However, she is not popular locally, and Menaan's governor will commission you, on behalf of the Fighters Guild, to ensure that Darra is killed while guiding you to a pack of troublesome alit, during the events of Alit Trouble in Menaan.
Even when informed of the governor's murderous plan for her however, Darra refuses to leave the town. As she puts it:
"Menaan is Darra's home. Darra will defend it. And even though the Dark Elves are bad neighbors, Darra doesn't want any of them to get eaten. Not even the governor."

- In the 22.11 release, Darra had an Athletics skill of 150. This was corrected in the next major release (23.10).
