Dathlyn Vando is the Dark Elf Noble who governs the small Roth Roryn town of Menaan. She is the mother of Raynil Vando, and lives together with her and their bodyguard, Jurgan, in Menaan's Vando Manor. Dathlyn is credited by the locals of the town with helping a sleepy economy begin to prosper. As they put it:
"Under her leadership, Menaan has begun on its way to developing a decent economy. A woman with an unprecedented talent in commerce for sure."
However, raising their trust will result in a rather different story - accusations of Dathlyn's connection to the Camonna Tong. Certainly, she has little issue with crime done on her terms - she will commission you to murder the local Khajiit, Darra, in Alit Trouble in Menaan. For this she will pay you substantially more than for the deaths of the alit who are actually threatening the townsfolk. She and her daughter are rumored to employ the town's smith, Orzuk gro-Gum, as a hitman. Some evidence of this is seen during the events of the Imperial Legion quest, Death of an Agent, which concerns the demise of another Menaan resident.
Dathlyn's activities do ultimately gain her enemies however, and the Morag Tong have a writ for her execution. As a member you may perform the honorable deed, or else free the one who does. Dathlyn will die shortly afterwards, with her daughter Raynil taking Menaan's helm.
