Detailed WalkthroughEdit
In the Commons area of the Narsis Guild of Mages, you'll find a Keptu-Quey individual called Dyros of Eguame. His usual role is training guild apprentices, and in doing so he has noted a larger than usual number of misfired spells. He asks that you find a master of Destruction magic named Dro'Jaaban for his take. Dro'Jaaban's whereabouts are unknown, but it seems that his apprentice, Herd the Bird, is known to be staying at The Last Drop in Narsis' Foreign Quarter.
Find Herd wandering outside The Last Drop and ask him about Dro'Jaaban. He'll state that Dro'Jaaban is at Teloseras, an old stronghold west of Hlerynhul. The silt strider to Hlerynhul is right next to The Last Drop, so take it there and head out west to Teloseras (marked on your map). You'll find Dro'Jaaban in the propylon chamber. Bandits have occupied Teloseras and stolen his crystal ball. The peeved Khajiit wants it back before he will help. Enter Telosera's Keep via the lower door and turn right. You'll quickly come to the door to the Vault area. It has a level 60 lock. Bypass this with magic or lockpicks.
Once inside the vault, you need to get Dro'Jaaban's Crystal Ball. This is in the northwestern room on the top floor, behind a level 70 locked door. Take it and bring it back to Dro'Jaaban. He'll offer to teach you the spell Dro'Jaaban's Immolation as a reward (although you'll need to buy it off him first). You should now also interview him about the misfired spells. He'll tell you of another time when spells began to 'die', referencing an unnamed but perhaps familiar Wild Elf sage who once recounted to him the extinction of a spell that kept clothes spotlessly clean. This occasion and others was preceded by a calamitous event that created "a sort of anti-magic".
Finish questioning Dro'Jaaban and then return to Dyros at the guildhall to recount what you have learned.
