Kelkemmello, a court wizard's ambitious apprentice

Kelkemmello is a prideful High Elf sorcerer, and an apprentice to the missing court wizard of Old Ebonheart's Ebon Tower, Tarhiel. Providing evidence as to Tarhiel's whereabouts to the Burgrave Caros Cocceius will initiate a contest between Kelkemmello and rival apprentice, Saturius, as part of the events of 'The Sorceror's Apprentices'.

He wears a common robe and a pair of common shoes.

Aside from his natural weaknesses to fire, frost, shock and magicka, his natural bonus to magicka, and resistance to disease, he knows the following spells: Blood Curse: Fatigue, Crushing Burden Touch, Daedric Bite, Dire Shockball, Distracting Touch, First Barrier, Frost Bolt, Frost Storm, Great Burden of Sin, Heavy Burden, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Storm, Poisonbloom, Shockbloom, Strong Levitate, Tinur's Hoptoad, Vivec's Wrath, and Wearying Touch.

DialogueEdit

  • Background:
"I'm Kelkemmello, apprentice of Tarhiel, the Court Wizard. With his recent absence, however, I'll likely be the Court Wizard soon."

The Sorceror's ApprenticesEdit

  • Greetings:
(Upon first meeting if you haven't already told Caros Cocceius about Tarhiel's death):
"Oh, hello there, %PCRace. I'm Kelkemmello, apprentice of the Court Wizard Tarhiel. However, I'm beginning to doubt that that's the case anymore. He hasn't been seen for a while now. If you know anything regarding his whereabouts, talk to Caros Cocceius. Now, was there something you wanted from me?"
(Before the first challenge):
"Alright, what's the first challenge, %PCName? I'm sure I can handle anything Caros can throw at me."
(During the first challenge):
"Lovely, isn't it %PCName? I'm sure the Emperor himself will want to add it to his private collection once this is over."
(Before the second challenge):
"What's the second challenge, %PCName? I'm eager to claim my rightful title."
(Right before summoning a Daedra for the second challenge):
"Leave me be, %PCName. I need to concentrate for this." Goodbye
(If he managed to summon a Daedroth for the second challenge):
"Behold, %PCName. A Daedroth! I'll be claiming my title now."
(If he has been declared the new Court Wizard after the second challenge):
"That was even easier than I imagined! I'll be in my tower if you want to talk. For now, I must be going." Goodbye
(If you convinced him to summon a Storm Atronach for the second challenge, making him fail):
"You! You made me do this! Get out of my face, cur!" Goodbye
(Before the third challenge):
"Yes, %PCName, I'm ready. You can go ahead and tell Saturius he's as good as dead." Goodbye
"Get out of my face, %PCRace." Goodbye
(After falling back down to the ground when Saturius uses the modified Scroll of Icarian Flight on him):
"Please! No more! I surrender!" Goodbye
(After Saturius is declared the new Court Wizard):
"Argh! Damn you, %PCName! That cur doesn't deserve this! You're a fool for helping him!" Goodbye
(In Julianos' Tower, after he has been declared the new Court Wizard):
"Hello there, %PCName. Welcome to my tower! As you can see I'm, uh, rather busy right now so can we hurry this along?"
(In Julianos' Tower, after Saturius has been declared the new Court Wizard):
"What is it, %PCName? Come to rub salt in the wound? Leave me be. Talk to my "master" Saturius instead. I'm sure he'll be a lot happier to see you than I'll ever be." Goodbye
(In Julianos' Tower, if he has been declared the new Court Wizard but he failed the second challenge):
"I thought I told you to stay out of my tower, cur! Leave immediately!" Goodbye
(If Caros Cocceius has called off the challenges):
"Can you believe it? Instead of just appointing someone who's CLEARLY qualified for the position, he decides to "deliberate further"! What a buffoon. Anyways, what do you want %PCName?"
  • Background:
"I'm Kelkemmello, former apprentice of the late Tarhiel. It's looking rather likely that I'll be the Court Wizard soon, so it would be wise to treat me with respect."
(If Caros Cocceius has called off the challenges):
"I'm Kelkemmello, apprentice of nobody. I should be the Court Wizard, but the "Burgrave" is too much of a dullard to recognize true talent."
(If he has been declared the new Court Wizard):
"Surely you jest, %PCName? I'm Kelkemmello, Court Wizard of Old Ebonheart! You were there when I trounced Saturius during the Three Challenges, remember?"
(If Tarhiel has returned to Ebon Tower alive):
"I'm Kelkemmello, apprentice of Tarhiel, the Court Wizard."
(If Caros Cocceius is dead):
"I'm Kelkemmello, apprentice of nobody. I should be the Court Wizard, but the "Burgrave" is dead and now I'm stuck here doing nothing for the time being."
  • First Challenge:
"Is that all? I can enchant in my sleep. I shall make the finest robe anyone in this room has ever seen! I'm ready whenever Saturius is."
  • Saturius:
"He's my fellow apprentice. He's always off studying somewhere to make up for the fact that he can't cast a decent spell to save his life. The only reason Tarhiel could stand him was because he always does what he's told. One day he'll learn that sucking-up won't get him as far as raw talent can."
  • Second Challenge:
"I'm sure Caros hasn't seen a Daedra in his life. A Daedroth should be more than enough to both impress him and surpass anything Saturius can conjure up."
  • You surely can do something better than that.:
"No, no, no, a Daedroth will do just fine. Enough to defeat Saturius in this stupid challenge."
(If Disposition ≥ 80):
"Excuse me? Of course I can summon something more powerful than a Daedroth! I'll show you!" Goodbye
  • Good choice.:
"Yes, yes, I know. Can we start the second challenge already?"
  • Tarhiel:
"I'm his apprentice, though I'm beginning to doubt that that's the case anymore. Leading up to his disappearance the old fool wouldn't leave his chambers, apparently working on some experiment or something. One day he just up and disappeared, leaving me with nothing to do. If you know anything of his whereabouts, tell Caros Cocceius. He's been rather worried."
(If you have the Journal of Tarhiel):
  • Rightly so. He fell from the sky near Seyda Neen.:
"This... this sounds like bad news. But tell Caros Cocceius; he's the one who really needs to know."
"Ah, so I was right then. A shame, but life must move on. If Caros Cocceius would have me as his new Court Wizard, tell him that I would humbly accept."
"What? He's back? Uh, yes that is good news, I suppose."
  • Three Challenges:
"Surely my work under Tarhiel is significant enough for a promotion? Well, I can't exactly argue with the "Burgrave" now can I? If he wants to see my skills first then so be it. Saturius doesn't stand a chance anyway."
