AdviceEdit

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thanks for your interest in the wiki. If you would like to experiment with how to edit, you may want to try editing in our sandbox. Making test edits to UESPWiki articles disrupts those pages and forces other editors to spend time making sure everything has been cleaned up. You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:01, 2 February 2014 (GMT)

Why are you adding semicolons to pages? They are not needed at all, in any form, so please stop. The next action will be a warning for deliberately disrupting the site. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:58, 2 February 2014 (GMT)

SemikolonsEdit

Hi!

You seem think that lists need a semikolon at the end, e.g. skill lists or faction lists in infoboxes. None of the lists I checked on the wiki have that, so it makes no sense to add this on single pages.

If you feel that a trailing semikolon should be used, a good course of action would be to convince the other editors, and if you succeed, someone will do that on all of the pages with an automated editing bot. If you cannot convince the other editors of this, then no trailing semikolons should be used.

Chrome/Safari unparsed textEdit

Hello,

The problem is, that in both Safari and Chrome (tested on Mac OS X Lion, Windows 7 and iOS7), some of the text on the right side of the screen appears as unparsed text, like so:

Astrid (RefID: lodeargs:0001BDE8|,|IDs/Entry|1}})
RefID ,|IDs/Entry|1}}
BaseID ,|IDs/Entry|1}}

When it should be displayed like this:

Astrid
(RefID: 0001BDE8)
RefID 0001BDE8
BaseID 0001BDB4

I just checked with Chrome on windows, and the display is fine. This is obviously a problem on your end and there is no call to change the entire wiki to suit some oddities in your displays. (I assumed you meant to show the ref and base on different lines and added breaks to make it appear so). Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:08, 3 February 2014 (GMT)
Unparsed Wikicode is never a browser issue, as the Mediawiki server does all of the parsing. --Mendel (talk) 02:03, 3 February 2014 (GMT)
Note: this issue was brought up by another user here. Robin Hood  (talk) 04:46, 7 February 2014 (GMT)
