WelcomeEdit
Hello Catmaniac66! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:
- Policies and Guidelines: UESPWiki standards and expectations
- Quick Editing Guide: a quick guide to wiki markup
- Getting Started: how you can help
If you, on the other hand, would like to spice up your userpage, take a look at this link:
- Userboxes: near complete list of userboxes, including a guide to make your own
When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).
Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox and don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors if you need any help. Have fun! --SerCenKing Talk 13:17, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Talk PagesEdit
Hi! I've noticed you've taken part in several discussions but not signed any of your posts. Be sure to sign your posts by putting --~~~~
at the end of your posts. Thanks! --ModderElGrande 20:47, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
warningEdit
The warning you issued the anon IP was unnecessary. Please read some policies before you start giving warnings and overreacting, scaring editors away--Corevette789 01:10, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Reverting Multiple EditsEdit
I just saw that you reverted three edits one at a time and wanted to give a little tip. IF you go to history and compare to current or compare selected versions, you can use undo to revert all edits within the selected range. God for reverting several nonsense edits at once. But remember that the automatic (Undo revision by...) doesn't come up, so you may want to say reverting multiple edits or something. :þ --DKong27 Talk Cont 04:05, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think I knew that, but I went to undo the first one as it happened, then the page was editted again, so I moved to undo that one, then it happened a third time... thanks for the help though!--Catmaniac66 04:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Staffs or StavesEdit
According to Dictionary [[1]] either is correct --Brf 02:03, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Id always heard that staves was correct, but I used staffs just to keep it in the same spelling as the others. Thanks for the answer!--Catmaniac66 02:08, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Black Soul GemsEdit
So far as I know that statement is correct. In the future if you're not sure, you can add a {{vn}} tag.--Ghurhak gro-Demril or TAOYes? 00:50, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Shdowmere.Edit
It is not a one-off glitch because it has happened to me , my mate and also another time to me when I started a new game.
Then I will move the bug to the talk page, and see what the community thinks. And one-off can also be specific to a console or specific game disk, as scratches do some weird crap.--Catmaniac66 18:34, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
We all have different versions of the game. I mean like I have the GOTY version , and my mates have the normal one. I do not know if this occurs on on PC because we all use XBOX 360.
- The thing is, glitches that happen to one or two people dont get listed. If you can replicate the bug multiple times, and find a cause for it (certain actions, certain times, etc...) then the bug can be readded. But the bug is more than rare, you and your friend are the only ones who have ever reported it, and thousands of people have done that quest multiple times, and never reported it. Just discuss it on Shadowmere's talk page and tell what happened. Keep it concise, and check back in a day to see if it generated any discussion.--Catmaniac66 18:46, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks man for hearing me out.
I have been thinking for some time and I think I understand what happened. I think that like the NCP's it got stuck in the ground. Therefore when I attacked it it glitched and went back to Fort Farragut. I tried it again and it happened , but with a different horse. It is up to you , either use it or don't. — Unsigned comment by JackTurbo95 (talk • contribs) on 18 February 2011
Just to let you know...Edit
- you did the right thing here. The preferred order is "Related Quests", "Notes", "Bugs". Sometimes, however, a bug can be so serious that it deserves the second spot, but thatis always a matter of personal judgment. --Krusty 13:55, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, a bug about an NPC not sleeping isnt really that serious. Thanks for clarifying though!--Catmaniac66 16:31, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
PatrollingEdit
Sorry, I didn't notice your message last night. I was doing half a dozen things at once and just occasionally checking on UESP. Minor Edits 23:46, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
Nah, its all good, I got some help and the IP ended up not making many edits. Have a good one!--Catmaniac66 23:48, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
No problemEdit
In regards to the General Magic Strategies, I guessed someone would want it to be reviewed or something first, but I wasn't sure how active this Wiki was anymore. Anyways, do what you've got to do, I just thought I'd try to help out. :) MonopolyMan 02:03, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
User Patroller ApplicationEdit
Just FYI, don't worry if there hasn't been a response to your application. Admins are supposed to keep an eye on those pages. They usually wait a week or so before approving the nomination. Don't panic over not being accepted right away, as you can see from this conversation the admins usually at least get a second opinion from another sysop before promoting you. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:03, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
- Oh yeah, I figured as much. I just made it standout more to be easier to find. I wasnt sure of the format since there isnt actually a list where there said it was, so I just figured it might look like it was part of the paragraph. I really just want to be in that category so my user page edits dont have to be partolled (since they are largely unimporant obviously) and to get used to patrolling something in case I ever want to be a recent changes patroller. Its all good though, Im patient enough. Thanks for the heads up though! (you might want to add you signature)--Catmaniac66 05:57, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

- You might wish to indent (I already did it for you :-)). You could look at the page history for examples on how people did it previously. Really though, it is kind of hard to miss an application, remember that admins do watch recent changes regularly and they are all but guaranteed to notice these edits. Don't worry about it, it will be taken care of in time. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:03, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

- Haha, right after I saved I realized I didnt indent, good example when telling someone to sign, no? I figured it wasnt worth an extra edit, knew you'd fix it and make some comment! Thanks for the advice though, its been helpful.--Catmaniac66 06:08, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

(←) Sweet, apparently being patient makes being patient unnecessary! But of course my first day Im going to be out of town for the day, nice timing. Thanks everyone! Catmaniac66
Hang TightEdit
Just ignore 93.174.93.145 for now. It'll get bored soon enough and stop vandalizing it's talk page, or an admin will get around to dealing with it. Either way just ignore it for now. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 04:55, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I realized that after Id already reverted the blanking, but I figured the second one with obscenities should be removed. If he had blanked it again I was going to leave it, just didnt care for the language. Though with few people on and most not looking there, I see your point. Ill leave it to you if something gets posted on whether or not to revert.--Catmaniac66 04:57, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
