The marshy lowlands of the Shivering Isles are known as Dementia, and represent the darker side of Sheogorath's personality. The islands are studded with ruins from many civilizations, all shrouded in mist and encrusted in giant fungus.

Daggerwaymore, Circus of Cheerful Slaughter
The Circus of Cheerful Slaughter is an ancient ruin in Dementia, part of Sheogorath's Shivering Isles. The ruin has been set up to act as the setting for Sheogorath's play, The Folly of Isolation. It includes three village settings reminiscent of locations within the alliance territories: Heartholdhelm, a parody of an Ebonheart Pact town; Skyroot Hearth, an Aldmeri Dominion village; and Daggerwaymore, a made-up town from the Daggerfall Covenant.
