- Force Shock: Focus all the elemental energies with your staff and blast an enemy for [1845 / 1865 / 1885 / 1905] Flame Damage, [1845 / 1865 / 1885 / 1905] Frost Damage, and [1845 / 1865 / 1885 / 1905] Shock Damage.
- Crushing Shock: Cost: [2700 / 2610 / 2520 / 2430] Magicka.
Focus all the elemental energies with your staff and blast an enemy for 1906 Flame Damage, 1906 Frost Damage, and 1906 Shock Damage. Enemies hit while casting are interrupted, set Off Balance, and stunned for 3 seconds. - Force Pulse: Area: 8 meters.
Focus all the elemental energies with your staff and blast an enemy for 1906 Flame Damage, 1906 Frost Damage, and 1906 Shock Damage. Up to 2 nearby enemies will take [6352 / 6421 / 6491 / 6561] Magic Damage if they were already afflicted with a status effect.
Force Shock deals elemental damage from all three elements, and has a chance to apply an elemental status effect. The Crushing Shock morph interrupts enemies who are casting a spell, putting them off-balance, while Force Pulse also damages up to two nearby enemies if they are currently afflicted with the Burning, Chilled, or Concussed status effects.
NotesEdit
- This attack counts as three separate simultaneous attacks, each of which has an individual chance of causing a Critical strike, so it pairs well with effects that trigger when dealing critical damage.
- Force Pulse is a recommended morph for the Sorcerer Elemental Arcanist build.
- The Concentrated Force set from Asylum Sanctorium will guarantee the status effects will be applied on every second cast.
Patch NotesEdit
- Increased the damage for this ability and its morphs.
- Force Pulse: This ability's Rank III tooltip now lists the correct damage value.
- Fixed an issue with this ability where the beam effect wasn't playing.
- Force Pulse: This ability's area damage can now critically hit.
- Force Pulse Rank I: Fixed an issue where this ability didn't have a chance of proc'ing elemental status effects.
- Decreased the damage of this ability by 10%.
- Force Pulse: Increased the area of effect damage dealt by this ability by 10%.
- Fixed an issue with this ability which prevented its bonus effect from applying to Concussed or Chilled enemies.
- Fixed an issue where this ability's shock and frost damage was delayed slightly after the fire damage.
- Adjusted the order of the Active Abilities in this skill line. They now unlock in the following order:
- Force Shock
- Wall of Elements
- Destructive Touch
- Weakness to Elements
- Impulse
- This ability and its morphs can no longer be reflected. Beam-type attacks cannot be reflected, but are able to be blocked.
- Fixed an issue where Major and Minor Evasion were affecting skills they should not have been. The following abilities and sets will no longer be reduced by Major and Minor Evasion's damage reduction:
- Force Pulse
- Overwhelming Surge
- Radial Uppercut
- Selene's
- Sheer Venom
- Shrouded Dagger's bounce damage
- Trap Beast and its morphs
- Unfathomable Darkness
- Increased the damage of this ability and its morphs by approximately 11%.
- Increased the chance to apply an Elemental Status Effect to 10% per hit from 3%, since each hit is a "Direct Damage" attack.
- Crushing Shock: This abbility no longer ranks up in damage, but instead decreases in cost, down to 2430 at Rank IV.
- Force Pulse: This morph no longer ranks up in damage of the initial hits, but instead ranks up in the cleave damage it deals. Also increased the damage of the cleave attack by approximately 172%.
- This ability and its morphs can now once again be reflected. Once upon a time, a special rule was made for these abilities to not be, as it interacted poorly with charged based reflect skills such as ye old Reflective Scales, which have been clipped. Therefore, this behavior is irrelevant and inconsistent.
