Detailed WalkthroughEdit

At the Jester's Festival celebration tents, Samuel Gourone is unimpressed with the quality of celebrations taking place. He enlists you to go into three different locations across Tamriel—Dresan Keep in Glenumbra, Mephala's Nest in Stonefalls, and Ondil in Auridon—to collect rare wines that will, according to him, entice various Daedra to perform as a band during the celebration. He will equip you with Samuel's Wine List and Samuel's Compulsion Rune to aid you.

At each location, you must first collect the wine in question, either from the environment or from a killed enemy. In Dresan Keep, look for Bloodroot Rosé; in Mephala's Nest, collect Spider-Venom Wine; and in Ondil, pick up Fioraellian Muskwine. Place the wine in an indicated summoning circle nearby to summon a Daedra. The type of Daedric creature summoned varies. The Daedra will be trapped by a red beam from the summoning circle and then vanish. Once this has been done in all three locations, return to Samuel.

The performers, sedated

The three Daedra will be standing on the Jester's Festival stage, heads down, surrounded by a bright purple mist. When you speak to Samuel, he will tell you to ring the bell at the corner of the stage. Do so to snap the Daedra out of their inebriation and begin the brief performance which ends with the Daedroth bellyflopping into the crowd and all three creatures vanishing. Each Daedra will play a different part in the band: the Daedroth will play the lute, the Harvester will play the panpipes and tambourine, the Scamp will play a drum or the pipes if the Harvester is not present, the Winged Twilight will dance or play the pipes if the Harvester is not present, and the Ogrim will beat on his own belly as a drum. Afterward, speak to Samuel once more to complete the quest.

NotesEdit

Summoning DaedraEdit

  • Depending on which summoning circle you use in Ondil or Mephala's Nest, the Daedra captured to play in the band will be different.
    • Ondil: a Harvester from the nearest circle or an Ogrim from the circle closer to the exit
    • Mephala's Nest: a Scamp from the circle across from the exit or a Winged Twilight from the circle in the southeast corner

Daedra CombinationsEdit

  • Scamp + Orgrim: the Scamp will play the flute while the Orgrim plays belly drums
  • Scamp + Harvester: the Scamp will play the bongos while the Harvester plays the flute and a drum
  • Winged Twilight + Orgrim: the Winged Twilight will play the flute while the Orgrim plays the belly drums
  • Winged Twilight + Harvester: the Winged Twilight will dance while the Harvester plays the flute and a drum

BugsEdit

  • Performance Bell Bug ?
    • Workaround: If the performance bell does not appear at the performance at Daggerfall, return to either Ebonheart or Vulkhel Guard to use a different bell.

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
