The long-lost Snow Elves that once inhabited Skyrim were reputedly immune to cold and could live comfortably in ice caverns. They are said to have bred a species of snow-cedar so hardy it can live even within the heart of a glacier.

The Chill Hollow is a cave in northeastern Eastmarch, east of Windhelm containing wispmothers and atronachs. It is inhabited by the frost atronach Nomeg Chal.
Dead Worm Cultists can be found in the deepest room of the cave, hinting at the source of the out-of-place atronachs roaming the lower tunnels.
