Nodgar is a Nord miner found in The Salty Futtocks inn in Old Ebonheart. He has been waiting for a friend named Gnaeus Barossa for some time now, having intended to travel with him to Vvardenfell to get into the mining boom there. Nodgar therefore will ask you to look into the cause of Gnaeus' delay - Gnaeus is the one funding the two's enterprise. However, following the news of Gnaues' passing, Nodgar will express a desire to get into alchemy instead.
He is also a player of nine-holes, although he will disappear after finishing 'Waiting on a Friend'.
He wears a common shirt with matching pants, shoes, and belt. He wields an iron war axe and carries a miner's pick, a copy of Glass in Morrowind, a copy of Minerals of Morrowind, and 150 gold.
Aside from his natural resistance to shock, immunity to frost, ability to shield himself, and a natural frost damage spell, he knows no spells.

MiscellaneousEdit
- Waiting on a Friend: Track down a missing miner.
DialogueEdit
- Greeting:
- "Want to play nine-holes, %PCRace? I have nothing else to do here."
- "Hlan Oek is south along the Thirr, down Veloth's Path from Almas Thirr. You could probably take a boat to Andothren and then a silt strider the rest of the way."
- my trade:
- "I'm a miner. I dig underground to expose veins of useful metals and gemstones. The resources I find are sent up to the surface to be carted off and fashioned into weapons, armor, jewelry, and other valuable goods. Well, at least that's the theory, anyway. I haven't actually worked as a miner ever, but don't worry -- I've read plenty of literature on the subject and it seems like a piece of cake."
Waiting on a FriendEdit
- Greetings:
- "Curses, where's the man? I can't afford to wait much -- ah, excuse me, %PCClass. Have you seen my associate Gnaeus Barossa while you've been in the city? I have nothing to do but play nine-holes while waiting for him."
- "%PCName. Have you gone down to Hlan Oek to find Gnaeus Barossa yet? I'm losing money by the minute here!"
- Gnaeus Barossa:
- "You haven't? Well, it was a long shot anyway. We were planning to meet here to travel to Vvardenfell together and get in on the mining boom there. The last I heard from him, he was traveling to Hlan Oek. You don't look like you have anything better to do, so would you go down there and find him? I'll make it worth your while.
- I can take a look.:
- "Much appreciated. Find him and tell him he needs to stop dragging his feet and get over here as quickly as possible. I can't wait to crack open some rocks and make a killing. I even bought a mining pick and everything, see?" (Disposition +5)
- I have better things to do.:
- "Your loss then. I'm sure that Gnaeus is on the way and he's gonna arrive soon. Yeah. Any minute now."
- "Yes, obviously he's still not here. Look, I'm sorry if I touched a nerve, but I really need Gnaeus to get here as soon as possible. He's funding our trip and I'm kind of running short on drakes. But don't worry, Gnaeus has enough cash for both of us." (See choices above)
- "Have you gone down to Hlan Oek to find him yet?"
- (After finding Gnaeus' body):
- "He's dead? Well, that's disappointing. I mean, yes, of course, he was a good man, %PCName, but more importantly, he was going to fund this whole enterprise! Well, no point in crying over it. I'll have to come up with a new business plan. I suppose I no longer need this useless mining junk. Here, take it off my hands." (You receive a Miner's Pick, a copy of Glass in Morrowind, and a copy of Minerals of Morrowind)
- (After finding Gnaeus' body and reading Letter from Gnaeus):
- "He's dead? Well, that's disappointing. I mean, yes, of course, he was a good man, %PCClass, but more importantly, we were planning to travel to Vvardenfell together and get in on the mining boom there. And he was going to fund our whole mining enterprise! Well, no point in crying over it. I'll have to come up with a new business plan. I suppose I no longer need this useless mining junk. Here, take it off my hands." (You receive a Miner's Pick, a copy of Glass in Morrowind, and a copy of Minerals of Morrowind)
- "Maybe I should get into alchemy instead. Do you happen to know an alchemist looking for a dependable business partner?"
- (If your Alchemy ≥ 50):
- "Maybe I should get into alchemy instead. Say, you look like you know your stuff. Are you looking for a dependable business partner, by chance? I'm more than ready to assist you."

I haven't actually worked as a miner ever, but don't worry -- I've read plenty of literature on the subject and it seems like a piece of cake. Maybe I should offer my services of an expert mining consultant to the East Empire Company?"
- Nodgar:
- "That would be me. Do you have news for me?"
