Sharnoga gra-Mal

Sharnoga gra-Mal is an Orc crusader and a Champion of the Fighters Guild who can be found on the second floor of the guildhall in Old Ebonheart.

More tied to bureaucracy than battle in her elder years, Sharnoga is nonetheless a formidable fighter, attired in a combination of Orcish and steel gear. At the time of the player's arrival in Old Ebonheart, she has been clearing out old contracts, beginning the events of A Champion Lost.

She is an admirer of the long-lost warrior, Constantius, and her questline features the search for him. On a couple of instances in her questline, characters note that she has already been asking around about him before your arrival. Sharnoga seems to be a great lover of the old tales, and a keen reader in her spare time, having visited the library in the Ebon Tower regularly enough to be on first name terms with the librarian, Capia Hegeteria.

Not much of a haggler, when the Fighters Guild come into possession of a crate of soul gems, Sharnoga will happily offload it on you for 300 gold less than its actual value - providing a useful means of compensation during the East Empire Company quest, Buying Time.

For protection, she wears a steel cuirass, a set of Orcish greaves, a pair of Orcish boots, a pair of steel gauntlets, and a pair of Nordic iron pauldrons. For clothing, she wears a common skirt. She wields a steel mace.

Like all Orcs, she has a natural resistance to magicka, and can boost her health, fatigue and attack for short periods, at the cost of her agility. In addition, she also knows the following spells: Blood Gift, Deadly Poison, Dire Weakness to Fire, Dire Weakness to Frost, Dire Weakness to Magicka, Dire Weakness to Poison, Dire Weakness to Shock, Orc Strength, Powerwell, and Rapid Regenerate.

DialogueEdit

  • Fighters Guild:
"I'm the head of this chapter of the Fighters Guild. Are you looking to join the Fighters Guild?"
(If you are a member of the Fighters Guild):
"The Old Ebonheart guildhall is one of the largest in the province. Citizens can hire us to take care of pests, deliver goods on dangerous routes and do other duties they cannot do themselves."
  • Imperial Library:
"It's part of the Ebon Tower Palace. Enter the Great Hall and take the first door to your left."
  • Orders:
(If you are a member of the Fighters Guild):
"Sorry, %PCRank; this needs a warrior I know I can rely on. Focus on your skills and advancement within the guild and check back when you have the rank of Swordsman. Perhaps Foedus downstairs has something for you. Otherwise, check with Neras Hardil in the Andothren, Ja'Basska in Almas Thirr or Laalalvo Irano in Akamora."
(If you are at least a Swordsman of the Fighters Guild):
"Sorry, %PCRank; this needs a warrior I know I can rely on. Talk to Foedus downstairs. Follow his orders, then come back to me once you've proven yourself here."
(If you have finished all of her Fighters Guild quests):
"I'm afraid I don't have any more tasks. When the Guildmaster of Almalexia returns from her retreat of meditation, she might be willing to talk to you. For now, you should look for work in other guild halls. Talk to Neras Hardil in Andothren, Laalalvo Irano in Akamora, or Ja'Basska in Almas Thirr. The Guild Stewards in Firewatch and Helnim might also have orders for you."

Fighters Guild: Cursing Like A WitchEdit

  • Greeting:
"Have you managed to cure Foedus' curse?"
  • Foedus' curse:
"He's babbling nonsense at anyone who dares speak with him, and no, that isn't normal for him. I'm no alchemist, but I believe an exclusive restore willpower potion might cure him."
"He said he was cursed by a witch? Find her and get her to lift the curse from Foedus, %PCRank."
"Foedus is now cured of his curse."
(If you have been expelled from the Fighters Guild):
"You've been expelled from the Fighters Guild for breaking the rules. You'll have to make amends before I give you any orders."
"That should be near the Sundered Scar. Afraid no one here knows that place as well as Foedus does. Ask around in Dondril, a village southeast of Old Ebonheart; they might know better."
  • Orders:
"Normally I would send you to Foedus Locutius downstairs, but he seems to have picked up some kind of curse from his last mission. I'd like you to try to cure Foedus' curse."

Fighters Guild: A Champion LostEdit

  • Greeting:
"Have you found any trace of Constantius?"
  • Constantius:
"We must find the remains of Constantius and also attempt to determine how he died. No one thus far has been successful, but if you can find anything from him we might be able to solve this. Start by checking caves and tombs on the river Thirr."
(If you talked with Aurelia Draconis during 'Ghosts, Too!'):
  • Aurelia Draconis saw Constantius' ghost in Dondril and he mentioned Manumnabi.:
"Really? That's amazing! I knew that velk thief was good for something. Manumnabi is a cave on the Thirr, almost directly south of here and northwest of Felms Ithul. To think the truth was this close for so long!"
"Have you found any trace of him?"
(If you have Torn Journal Page (Manumnabi))
"The note mentions Lenwyn Barotar? That was Constantius' companion, in the stories I've read at least. If that scrap is legitimate, then it was written by Constantius himself! I'm not sure who the stranger they mention is, and I can't read their next location either. Still, you did great work. Let me know if you're ready for your next task, I'm sure you'll never guess what it is." (Disposition +5, Fighters Guild Reputation +5, and you receive 300 gold)
  • Orders:
"Ready, %PCRank? I was clearing out some of our old contracts and found one that even predates my career here. An influential family paid us a large amount of gold up front to retrieve the remains of their ancestor Constantius, who is believed to have died centuries ago somewhere in Morrowind."
"Have you found any trace of Constantius?"

Fighters Guild: A Legacy's TrailEdit

  • Greeting:
"Have you found any remains of Constantius? I hope the library was able to help."
  • Constantius:
"Your next task is to follow up on that journal page. Head up to the Imperial Library in the Ebon Tower and see if they can read that smudged location. I told them about the progress you've made and they've agreed to help. Hopefully they can point you to Constantius."
"Have you found any remains of him?"
(If you have Torn Journal Page (Teknilashashulpi)):
"You've found another page, and it seems to fit the same narrative as the other. The way he writes, though... 'Valorous combat slaying daedra'? I'd say the sujamma is speaking loudly in here, but the handwriting is too even for that. And why the mistrust towards Lenwyn? The vagueness about the mysterious pilgrim? It's like something was clouding his mind."
  • Continue:
"Anyway, good job, %PCRank. I'm sure this will all make sense in the end. Meanwhile, here's an amulet I pulled off some dead cultist ages ago. It's a weird one, seems to change color based on how you wear it. Maybe you'll find it useful. When you're ready for more orders, let me know." (Disposition +5, Fighters Guild Reputation +5, and you receive the Amulet of Grey Tides)
  • Orders:
"We should continue searching for the remains of Constantius."

Fighters Guild: A Final FateEdit

  • Greetings:
"Have you found any evidence of Constantius in Mzungleft?"
"Have you found any other evidence of Constantius' demise in Mzungleft?"
"Have you found any new evidence of Constantius' death in the Mages Guild here?"
  • Constantius:
"Based on that last note, the only Dwemer ruin I can think of that meets the description is Mzungleft. Nasty place, that. Just northwest of Necrom. Be careful, I wouldn't want you to end up like Constantius. If you find his remains or any other clues, bring them back to me. Take everything you'll come across -- weapons or journal pages, or the remains themselves."
"Try to find his remains in Mzungleft."
(If you have the Ancient Adamantium Axe):
"I see the axe, but did you find any remains? Certainly he left SOMETHING behind."
(If you have the Ancient Skeleton):
"I see the remains, but do you have anything else to prove it's Constantius?"
(If you have the Ancient Adamantium Axe and the Ancient Skeleton):
"So these are the remains of the great Constantius. These bones seem absolutely ancient. The axe certainly matches the description I've heard. I'm willing to believe this is Constantius if you can tell me how he died. Speak with me about orders again if you have found other remains leading to the cause of his demise." (Disposition +5, and removed Ancient Adamantium Axe and Ancient Skeleton from your inventory)
"You've found the remains of Constantius, but have you managed to locate what remained of his companion, Lenwyn? Try searching in Mzungleft again."
(If you have the Steel Tanto):
"Yes, this appears to be Lenwyn's dagger, but I can't tie it to any particular event. Have you found anything else?"
(If you have the Torn Journal Page (Mzungleft)):
"This note appears to be Constantius' last message. It implicates some 'L' as his killer. Is there anything else from the scene that might indicate who 'L' is?"
(If you have the Steel Tanto and the Torn Journal Page (Mzungleft)):
"Hm. This is troubling. It appears as though Lenwyn DID kill Constantius. But this goes against everything I've heard for years. Constantius and Lenwyn were kinsmen, there was never bad blood between them. There must be something more to this. I investigated their possible third companion and someone matching that description joined the Mages Guild many years ago. Investigate that lead, %PCRank." (Removed Steel Tanto from your inventory)
"Search for evidence in the Mages Guild, %PCRank."
(If you have the Ruminations on Illusion - Draft):
"Aha, they were frenzied! I knew something sounded wrong. Kamara used them as test subjects. The poor fools never knew what was happening until it was too late. Kamara is long dead and their crimes must go unpunished. Such is life. All that matters now is that Lenwyn and Constantius will be properly buried as the heroes they were. In lieu of traditional payment I'm giving you Constantius' axe. Ophelie downstairs should have it back in perfect condition by now. Thank you, %PCRank." (Disposition +10, and Fighters Guild Reputation +10)
"You've done a great thing for his memory, %PCRank."
(If you have been expelled from the Fighters Guild):
"You've been expelled from the Fighters Guild for breaking the rules. You'll have to make amends before I give you any orders."
  • Orders:
"The last note reveals the possible location of Constantius."
"You've found the remains of Constantius, but we've yet to find what killed him."

East Empire Company: Buying TimeEdit

  • soul gems:
"The Mages Guild wanted some filled soul gems, but we got a lot more than they asked for, and now we have a crate in the back with no buyer. The gems make some of us nervous, and we just want to be rid of them. They're worth 800 drakes, but to the East Empire Company, we'll sell at 200. I'm not a merchant, so I'm not haggling. Deal or no deal?"
  • Deal:
"The East Empire Company and the Fighters Guild are friends, so I'll take your word for it, no check necessary. Until Marki or Mette come by with the gold in hand, you have my word that the soul gems are reserved for the Company, and my word's good. Like I said, I'm not a merchant." (Disposition +5)
  • No deal.:
"Suit yourself."
"200 for a market price of 800. Take it or leave it." (See 'Deal' and 'No deal' choices above)

House Hlaalu: A New EmploymentEdit

  • job for a scribe:
"Hmm, Fothresa Aravel has been complaining a lot lately about all paperwork she has to do. If she wants some assistance, I'd consider hiring him."
"So Fothresa wants some assistance with her paperwork? Sure, we can afford to hire a scribe. Go and tell him that he can start working here whenever he likes."
(If Fothresa Aravel is dead):
"Yes, we could use a scribe here. The one who was responsible for our bookkeeping recently got killed, and we haven't found any replacement yet. Go tell Glaucia Rumariil that she can send this scribe here immediately."
"Gerardus has been doing a good job so far. I've never seen such tidy reports here at the guild before!"
