Furnishings are items that are used to decorate Player Houses. They include not only 'traditional' furnishings but also Collectibles (including pets, mounts, houseguests, and item storage) and training dummies that are used to test damage. They were first added with the Homestead update.

Many furnishings can be bought at Furnishers located in every zone, crafted using Furnishing Plans, automatically received as Achievement rewards, and yet more can be bought with Crowns both within Furnishing Packs in the Crown Store or directly from the Housing Editor. Some furnishings may be earned or obtained for free from the Crown Store as well, such as from the Daily Rewards calendar or directly during certain promotions or events. Every weekend (starting from 1:00 AM UTC on Saturday/Friday 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PM PST until noon UTC on Monday/7:00 AM EST/4:00 AM PST), a rotating selection of luxury furnishings can be purchased for gold from Zanil Theran at his stall (either in the Hollow City or at the Belkarth Festival Grounds in Craglorn).

The number of furnishings that may be placed within a player's home depends on the size of the home (whether it is an Inn Room, Apartment, Small Home, Medium Home, Large Home, or Manor) and whether or not the player has an ESO+ subscription.

There are a number of Housing Achievements that may be completed as well.

Furnishing limitsEdit

There are four types of furnishings that are used to determine how many items may be placed in a player's home: (1) traditional; (2) special; (3) collectible; and (4) special collectible. The first two -- traditional furnishings and special furnishings -- are items that appear in a player's inventory. Collectible furnishings and special collectibles appear in a player's Collections menu, are account-wide, and do not appear in the player's inventory. A furnishing's type is given at the bottom of its tool-tip under "Furnishing Limit Type".

Most furnishings are traditional furnishings and can be stored in a player's inventory, bank, or storage containers. Some animated furnishings are classified as 'traditional' (such as the Blood Fountain, Clockwork Pump, Monarch Butterfly Flock, and Void-Crystal Anomaly), while others are special furnishings (such as the Alinor Windmill, Azure Plasm Cage, Celestial Vortex and Scrying Brazier).

Some collectible furnishings are awarded to the player for completing Achievements (such as the Undaunted Busts, the Aeonstone Formation, the Fan of False-Face, or the Augur of the Obscure). Others are claimed for free in the crown store -- such as the Armory Station or, for ESO+ subscribers, paintings and statuettes awarded each month (see ESO+ furnishings for a list of these items). The eight storage containers available are also classified as collectible furnishings.

Special collectibles include Assistants, non-combat pets, mounts, and houseguests.

The first value in the table below gives the maximum number of furnishings of each type it is possible to place in a player's home for non-ESO+ players; the second value gives the limit for ESO+ subscribers.
