Culture ClashEdit

After completing the quest in the Council Chamber of the palace in Alinor, Alwinarwe will enter:

Courtier Vindilween: "Proxy Queen Alwinarwe, may I present the Nord ambassador, Rigurt the Brash."
Rigurt the Brash: "Pleased to be seeing your beautiful face, your majesty! Sign the treaty and we can break for dinner, unless you want to be negotiating first."
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, ambassador. I'll listen to what you have to say and we'll see where the evening takes us."
Rigurt the Brash: "As long as the evening includes lots of mead, that sounds fine to me!"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Ambassador, I find your Nordish inclinations to be most … refreshing."
Rigurt the Brash: "Oh, Rigurt has plenty of inclinations, your majesty!"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "We look forward to finding out all about your inclinations, Ambassador Rigurt. Come along. The Royal Chef makes a rabbit meatball pie that you'll absolutely devour."

The Tower SentinelsEdit

When you first speak to her during the quest:

If your character is a High Elf:
If your character is not a High Elf:
"A new face in the court! And how pleasant and interesting it is! We do appreciate the return of our brothers and sisters to the Blessed Isle, even if our nobles count you among the other newcomers.
Now then, what business brings you to the palace?"
"We grow accustomed to the influx of visitors to our Blessed Isle, though your increasing numbers remain a source of concern to our nobles. We, however, find the many non-Altmer faces to be … interesting.
What business brings you to the palace?"
The Ritemaster of the Psijic Order sent me to get your permission to enter the College of Sapiarchs.
"The Psijic Order? We have not heard a word from that august body in a star's age, and then word arrives that we should expect a visitor.
Why would we grant access to the Sapiarch's private compound? Speak true if you want our aid in this matter."
The Crystal Tower is in danger. The Ritemaster sent me to warn the Sapiarchs.
"This involves the business that Razum-dar was telling us about? The Queen's cat claimed he had eyes in the Psijic Order, but we assumed that was more of his braggadocio.
Very well. We'll send word to Lillandril that you may cross to the College."

After advancing the quest, you can ask her a few questions.

If your character is a High Elf:
If your character is not a High Elf:
Is there anything I should know about the College of Sapiarchs?
"Of course. We have nothing else to do but talk about the many wonders of the Blessed Isle.
Let us tell you all about the Sapiarchs, the Divine Prosecution, Altmer recipes, and perhaps even the schedule of performance for the House of Reveries."
I'm getting the sense I may have offended you in some way.
"You do? It's good we consider you as charming as you are interesting.
The Sapiarchs teach us and guide us, bringing their knowledge to every part of Altmer society. Their compound in Lillandril serves as the seat of their college."
I'll head to Lillandril immediately.
"Of course. And we shall alert the portal master to accommodate you. Once inside, seek out Larnatille, Sapiarch of Arcanology. She leads the College and should hear the Ritemaster's warning.
For an Altmer, you have much to learn, newcomer."
Is there anything I should know about the College of Sapiarchs?
"The newcomer wants us to blather on about the many wonders of the Blessed Isle? Why, by all means!
Let us sing praises of the Sapiarchs, reveal a recipe for an Altmer delicacy, and select the best House of Reveries performance for you to attend."'
I'm getting the sense I may have offended you in some way.
"Indeed? Perhaps you aren't as dull as we first presumed.
My Queen has asked that we welcome you, so we shall tell you that the Sapiarchs are our teachers. The compound in Lillandril serves as the seat of their prestigious College."
I'll travel to Lillandril immediately.
"And we shall alert the portal master to accommodate you. Once inside, seek out Larnatille, Sapiarch of Arcanology. She leads the College and should hear the Ritemaster's warning.
There! We have done our deed for the day!"

Speak to her before leaving and she'll add:

"If the Ritemaster of the Psijic Order believes the Crystal Tower may be in some sort of trouble, you must make haste to the College of Sapiarchs. Seek the portal master in Lillandril.
Now go. We have no more time to spare for a newcomer today."

A New AllianceEdit

Enter the council chamber and a heated discussion will be taking place:

Sapiarch Larnatille: "You can't make such demands. The Sapiarchs are the keepers of the Crystal Tower!"
Valsirenn: "This is about more than the College of Sapiarchs, Larnatille!"
Razum-dar: "If Raz could intervene? Perhaps we should hear from our newly arrived friend?"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "We concur with Razum-dar. Let us hear what the adventurer has to say."

Speak to her:

"This situation sets a precedent that makes us uncomfortable. The Psijic Order tries our patience, but we will allow this council meeting to play out.
Razum-dar has suggested we hear from you. So, please, talk to Larnatille and let's get on with it."

After speaking to Larantille, Raz suggests that she listen to you based on testimony of her fellow Summerset citizens that have benefited from your council:

Razum-dar: "Our friend has proven their mettle time and time again. Raz thinks you should hear about these deeds."
Razum-dar: "Oriandra, admit our guests now, yes?"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "What are you up to, Razum-dar?"

At this point, any number of elves enter the room and endorse you for merit (depending on what quests have been completed). After all have had their say, Alwinarwe will continue:

Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "We have heard enough! We accept that the adventurer is trustworthy. Sapiarch Larnatille, listen to what they have to say."

Once you've convinced Larantille, the gathered congregation leaves the room. After a few last words with Valsirenn, she'll send you to speak to him in the audience hall. Approach the throne and the Proxy Queen and Raz will be in mid banter:

Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Razum-dar … remove your furry seat from our throne."
Razum-dar: "After all Raz has done for Queen and country, you would deny him this small comfort?"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Why cousin Ayrenn tolerates you, we'll never understand."

Speak to her and she'll tell you:

"We deal with Razum-dar out of respect for our dear cousin, but some days … some days are more trying than others."

Finish the quest and the Proxy Queen and Raz will be back at it:

Razum-dar: "Enjoy yourself, my friend! Raz certainly plans to."
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Our throne, Razum-dar. We would have it back now."
Razum-dar: "So tense, your majesty! Must be this uncomfortable throne. Perhaps Raz could suggest a most comfortable cushion upon which you could sit."
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Such a cushion is much too lumpy for our tastes, cat."

Speak to her one last time:

"We thank you for the aid you provided to our green and pleasant land. Newcomer, you have shown us that sometimes change is for the best."

Of Crown and FlowersEdit

Across your time with Tanlorin, you will learn of the existance of the Ceythalmor and major operation they are about to begin. While searching for clues in Greenshade during this quest, you learn what their plan is. An assassination of Proxy Queen Alwinarwe and the installation of a royal cousin more inline with the Ceythalmor way of thinking in the aftermath.

The discovery of the mole within the Garland Ring has escalated their plans, and payments have been made drop the Palace's protective wards. You and Tanlorin reach Dusk Keep and the assembled Ceythalmor and follow after Wisteria as she uses a teleportation device to enter the palace.

You and Tanlorin reactivate the device and finds yourselves in the Alinor Royal Palace, and find the throne room covered in ice with several bodies scattered around. Wisteria will be channeling magic against the red magic barrier which protects Proxy Queen Alwinarwe and her remaining guards (Bailiff Nesaawy, Bailiff Hererquen and Bailiff Tirwortil).

During the fight, Wisteria will use her frost magic and Ceythalmor reinforcements will join in. Once Wisteria has been slain, Tanlorin will quietly comment:

Tanlorin: "It's over. She's dead."
<The barrier protecting the Proxy Queen disappears and she walks down the stairs as her guards fan out.>
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "We appreciate your aid, but will someone please tell us what in Oblivion is going on?"

Speaking to Proxy Queen Alwinarwe before Tanlorin:

Completed Summerset Storyline :
First Time Meeting:
"It seems we have you and your friend to thank for our salvation. Who are … wait.
You are that person. The incident with Razum-dar. The Psijic Order and the Crystal Tower. Well, that explains some things."
"It seems we have you and your friend to thank for our salvation.
Although, and we hope this isn't rude. But who in Oblivion are you ?"

After you talk to Tanlorin, they will awkwardly introduce themselves to the Proxy Queen:

<Tanlorin walks before the stairs and bows.>
Tanlorin: "Your majesty. Hello. I'm an admirer. Sorry about the mess."
<A portal then opens nearby and the Gardener walks out of it.>
The Gardener: "I see I'm just in time. Bogcup, well done. Hello, my dear niece. Don't I always say that your uncle has your best interests at heart?"
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "Uncle? We should have known you had a hand in this."
The Gardener: "I'll answer all your questions, I promise. But first I must tend to my associates."
Proxy Queen Alwinarwe: "We shall allow it. But we insist you return as soon as possible."
The Gardener: "Of course. Bogcup, would you and your friend care to accompany me back to the greenhouse?"
Tanlorin: "You don't have to tell me twice. Let's go."

You have the option of speaking to Proxy Queen Alwinarwe before you leave, and she recognizes you if you met previously:

"We suspected our uncle had a role to play in all this. Very clever, that one. This Garland Ring is a solution we never would have conjured, even in our wildest imaginings.
Hmm. One supposes there may be further use for such a group."
Met Previously:
First Time Meeting:
That's right. I'm working with Tanlorin and the Garland Ring right now.
"The Garland Ring? How curious. You do get around, it would seem. We suppose that makes sense, given your affiliation with that … cat."
The group that attacked you call themselves the Ceythalmor.
"Ah, yes. We have heard of this Ceythalmor organization. It is clear we underestimated the threat they posed.
It seems we owe our lives to you once again, adventurer. To you and this Garland Ring."
The Garland Ring tries to do what's best for the people of Summerset.
"A lovely sentiment. And one that we share. We will have to make a formal inquiry. Most likely alert our cousin, Queen Ayrenn. But it is not every day an attempt is made on our life. Even rarer that we are so … unsettled.
Thank you. Both of you."
You're welcome, your majesty.

We're with the Garland Ring. Your attackers call themselves the Ceythalmor.
"The Garland Ring? How curious. And we have heard of this Ceythalmor organization before. It is clear we underestimated the threat they posed.
