While the most common way of fast travel in ESO is by wayshrines, in most cases they have to be discovered first. To facilitate travel to zones which haven't been visited yet, the game offers a vast network of quick transport routes which link important hubs. Using some of them requires activating a vehicle (a ship, a boat, a cart, etc.), while others are accessible by approaching specific NPCs (boatswains, caravaners, and navigators). When you're on a quest which directs you to another zone, a quest marker can lead you to one of these vehicles or NPCs.
MapEdit
Click on a location to see a list of locations connected to it by quick transport routes. Some routes are one-way, so outgoing and incoming directions are listed separately.
The map also indicates where it is possible to cross between zones directly (grey arrows).
