< Elder Scrolls Online: Mounts: Canines / E

This article is about the antiquity. For the achievement, see Ebon Dwarven Wolf (achievement).

"There is no evidence that the Dwemer kept dogs, or pets of any other kind, for that matter, but like their neighbors the Nords they did seem to have some affection for the Wolves of northern Tamriel. One sees this in their mounts." —Thelwe Ghelein

The Ebon Dwarven Wolf is a Dwarven mount that is available via the Antiquities system. The mount is split into 17 fragments, found throughout the base game and Western Skyrim.

Leads for each fragment drop from various Dwemer automatons or are found in Dwemer Ruins. After collecting, scrying, and excavating all 17 leads, you are awarded with this mount. Its default name is "Blackwolf".

This mount is a vamidium, a Dwarven automaton shaped like a wolf. Steam will hiss from its joints at regular intervals. When summoned, it will materialize with a copper glow. You can make the wolf howl by jumping while not moving. This will cause it to surge with electricity, and its core will glow red for a short time afterwards. The player character will also pump their fist in the air during this animation.
