Gargoyles are powerful living golems that often remain in stationary, statue-like, positions before revealing themselves for combat. Sandy gargoyles are often found in Hammerfell, though green-skinned gargoyles can also be encountered under the control of vampires.
There are four gargoyles at every Anka-Ra Burial Site in Lower Craglorn. After three waves of enemies are defeated, two of the gargoyles awaken and walk slowly towards the Star-Gazer Priest. The gargoyles do not fight back, but they must be burned down to prevent them from reaching the Star-Gazer. If the gargoyles aren't killed in time, they'll unleash a powerful ground pound and kill the priest, failing the event.

Skills and AbilitiesEdit
- Double Swipe
- The gargoyle swipes its target twice with its claws, the first hit dealing moderate physical damage and the second hit minor physical damage.
- Heavy Strike/Lacerate
- The gargoyle winds up its arm before slamming it down on its target, dealing high physical damage and knocking them down. It also applies a "Bleeding" effect that lasts for 16 seconds which deals minor damage over time. This can be blocked to stagger the gargoyle and to both prevent the crowd control and the bleeding.
- Quake
- The gargoyle slams its fists into the ground three times, causing tremors in a medium-sized AoE that deals moderate physical damage to all standing within range.
- Vampiric Touch
- The gargoyle stands upright and growls, activating a passive buff which heals it and its nearby allies every time the gargoyle successfully strikes a target. There isn't any visual indication of when the buff starts or end on the gargoyle however.
- Petrify
- The gargoyle glares at its target, as indicated by a red cone, turning them to stone which stuns them or snares them if they're blocking, for a few seconds. Those affected can break free. This attack can be avoided by roll-dodging. (On some gargoyles only)
