Restoration Staff is one of the six weapon skills available in Elder Scrolls Online. Most active and passive abilities enabled by Restoration Staves focus on protecting and healing allies, while others help recharge the user's magicka. In addition, dealing a fully-charged heavy attack to an enemy will also recharge the user's magicka based on their level. The use of these abilities, and progression in the skill line, require equipping a Restoration type staff.

LearningEdit

The Restoration Staff skill line is granted the first time you kill an enemy with a restoration staff equipped. You can increase your skill by engaging in combat with a restoration staff equipped, or by having Restoration Staff skills slotted. The more skills you have slotted, the faster your skill will increase. Argonians are naturally gifted with Restoration Staves, and will learn the ability more quickly than other races. In addition, you can earn free levels in the skill line by reading Skill Books, which may be found randomly on bookshelves anywhere. Unfortunately, there is only 1 skill book which increase Restoration Staff, as it appears the rest were set to Destruction Staff by mistake:

Notes

  • The numbers displayed here are the base values for the skills. Magicka/Stamina Cost is based on a character of Level 50  160. Damage values are based on Max Magicka/Stamina 12000, Max Health 16000, and Weapon/Spell Damage 1000. The actual numbers you see in the game may depend on a variety of factors, including skill line rank, your equipped weapons and armor, other skills, enchantments, etc. As such, they should only be used as a comparative reference.

When you activate this ability you automatically cast Regeneration, Blessing of Protection, and Steadfast Ward at no cost. These will update based on which morph of each ability you have taken.
   Light's Champion Any friendly target healed gains Major Force, increasing Critical Damage dealt.
Release the rejuvenating energies of your staff to swirl around you, healing you or a nearby ally for 7940 Health every 1 second for 5 seconds. Any friendly target you heal gains Major Force for [5 / 6 / 7 / 8] seconds, increasing their Critical Damage by 20%.

     Rapid Regeneration The healing happens faster over a shorter duration and increases in healing on low Health targets.
Duration: 5 seconds.
Share your staff's life-giving energy, healing you or a nearby ally for [9530 / 9634 / 9739 / 9837] Health over 5 seconds. The healing increases by up to 50% more on targets under 100% Health.
   Radiating Regeneration Heals two additional targets.
Share your staff's life-giving energy, healing you or up to 3 nearby allies for [9530 / 9634 / 9739 / 9837] over 10 seconds.
   Blessing of Protection 14 Instant Area 20 meters 10 seconds 4860 Magicka
Slam your staff down to activate its blessings, healing you and your allies in front of you for [6918 / 6993 / 7069 / 7146] Health. Also grants Minor Resolve, increasing you and your allies' Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 10 seconds.
     Blessing Of Restoration Increases the size, healing done, and duration.
Duration: 20 seconds.
Slam your staff down to activate its blessings, healing you and your allies in front of you for [7860 / 7946 / 8033 / 8119] Health. Also grants Minor Resolve, increasing you and your allies' Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 20 seconds.
   Combat Prayer Also grants Minor Berserk, increasing you and your allies' damage done. Cost decreases as ability ranks up.
Cost: [4860 / 4770 / 4680 / 4590] Magicka.
Slam your staff down to activate its blessings, healing you and your allies in front of you for 7146 Health. Also grants Minor Berserk and Minor Resolve increasing you and your allies' damage done by 5% and Physical Resistance and Spell Resistance by 2974 for 10 seconds.
   Steadfast Ward 20 Instant Area 28 meters 6 seconds 4590 Magicka
Call on your staff's strength to protect you or the lowest health ally around you with a damage shield that absorbs [6148 / 6215 / 6282 / 6351] damage. The shield's strength is increased by up to 100%, depending on the severity of the target's wounds.
     Ward Ally Cast two shields instead of one, with one shield always on yourself. Reduces the cost as the ability ranks up.
Cost: [4590 / 4500 / 4410 / 4320] Magicka.
Call on your staff's strength to protect you and the lowest health ally around you with a damage shield that absorbs 6351 damage. The shield's strength is increased by up to 100%, depending on the severity of the target's wounds.
   Healing Ward Heals target based on the shield's strength every second it persists.
Call on your staff's strength to protect you or the lowest health ally around you with a damage shield that absorbs [6351 / 6421 / 6491 / 6560] damage. The shield's strength is increased by up to 100%, depending on the severity of the target's wounds. While the shield persists, the target is healed for 33% of the shield's remaining strength every second.

Focus your staff's power to apply Minor Lifesteal to an enemy for [18 / 20 / 22 / 24] seconds, healing you and your allies for 600 Health every 1 second when damaging them.
     Siphon Spirit Also applies Minor Magickasteal to the enemy.

Focus your staff's power to apply Minor Lifesteal to an enemy for [24 / 26 / 28 / 30] seconds, healing you and your allies for 600 Health every 1 second when damaging them.    Quick Siphon Allies who hit the enemy target also gain Minor Expedition.

Focus your staff's power to apply Minor Lifesteal to an enemy for [24 / 26 / 28 / 30] seconds, healing you and your allies for 600 Health every 1 second when damaging them. When you or an ally hits the target, they gain Minor Expedition, which increases their Movement Speed by 15% for 4 seconds.

2 items: When your Regeneration critically strikes, you restore 12-558 Magicka. This effect cannot occur from simultaneous critical strikes.

2 items: When you cast Blessing of Protection, the cost of your Magicka and Stamina healing abilities are reduced by 21% for 3 seconds.

  Steadfast Ward Mender's Ward
Perfected Mender's Ward

2 items: Steadfast Ward applies Major Vitality to your target for 4 seconds, increasing their healing received and damage shield strength by 12%.

  Force Siphon Force Overflow
Perfected Force Overflow

2 items: Casting Force Siphon on a target within 15 meters of you causes a surge of magical energy to tether between you for 10 seconds. While the tether persists and you remain in range, you and allies in the tether restore 4-175 Magicka and Stamina every 1 second. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.

Passive AbilitiesEdit

Passive abilities are active all the time, so long as a restoration staff is equipped.

34    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) You gain Major Mending for 4 seconds after completing a fully-charged Heavy Attack, increasing your healing done by 16%. You also heal yourself or an ally within 15 meters of the target for 50% of the damage inflicted by the final hit of a fully-charged Heavy Attack.
   Restoration Expert 10    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Increases your healing by 8% on allies under 30% Health.
17    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Increases your healing by 15% on allies under 30% Health.
   Cycle of Life 25    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Your fully-charged Heavy Attacks restore 15% more Magicka.
30    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Your fully-charged Heavy Attacks restore 30% more Magicka.
   Absorb 28    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Restores 300 Magicka whenever you block an attack. This effect can occur once every .25 seconds.
46    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Restores 600 Magicka whenever you block an attack. This effect can occur once every .25 seconds.
   Restoration Master 41    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Increases healing with Restoration Staff spells by 3%.
50    (WITH RESTORATION STAFF EQUIPPED) Increases healing with Restoration Staff spells by 5%.
