DialogueEdit

If you speak to her before accepting the day's quest, she will greet you with:

  • "If you want to compare scars, I want to see new ones. Take the pledge."
  • "I've killed Hearth-wives with more spine. Take the pledge and prove otherwise."
  • "I don't cavort with delicate flowers. Take the pledge."
  • "Everyday you come. Trying to get my attention?
Hah! Take the pledge and we'll talk!"
  • "I never put faith in an Undaunted with a straight nose. Take the pledge. Get bloody. Earn my trust."
  • "Show your teeth when you see me, Undaunted. You might not have them for long.
Come, take your pledge with a smile!"

When talking to her after accepting certain pledges:

  • "Go on then, you've got your pledge. Show me what you're made of."
  • "Well? What are you waiting for? Be off and get that pledge done right!"
  • "Nothing like a good pledge to get your blood pumping!"
  • "I can't help but envy such a great pledge. Makes me want to go out and knock a few heads myself! And afterward maybe knock a few knees, if you catch my drift."

When returning after completing certain pledges, she may greet you with one of the following:

  • "I hope you're here to tell me of your tremendous victory! And not the kind that involves the local tavern wench.
Well, maybe you could tell me about that later."
  • "Well, you certainly look alive. Unless a necromancer got to you? No, no, you'd smell far worse. So I can only guess you've completed your pledge!"
  • "Ah, the smell of blood and guts. Or is that scorched flesh? Whatever it is, it's welcomed!"
  • "You've got the eyes of someone back from a fresh kill.
And not in a bad way, mind you! In the very heroic, definitely good way."

When speaking to her after completing the day's pledge:

  • "Come back tomorrow. Tonight I box with Maj. I owe her two teeth."
  • "Back for more? That eager to impress me?
Tomorrow I'll pick something special just for you."
  • "The day's work is done. Raise a mug and let the night's work begin!"
  • "Trying to count me among your day's conquests? I am not won over so easily.
Tomorrow ... that might be another story."
  • "Always speak your mind. Undaunted should die without regrets. Remember that when you see me tomorrow."
  • "Glirion's heart is a fortress. Epics will be sung about the one to crack it.
Come back tomorrow. Tonight I have a siege to lay."

Taking the Undaunted PledgeEdit

Before you start the quest:

"Come back when you've got some scars worth admiring."

Before you sign the Tome of the Undaunted:

"Don't crowd me. You can admire the view from afar."

The player can introduce themselves to Urgarlag after signing the Pledge Tome.

"You a talker or a gawker? Might earn a busted lip either way."
Glirion said I should introduce myself.
"Hmm. Guess I'll leave your face as it is then. Can't make any promises about that in the future.
That's not always a threat"
It's not?
"Faces are good for more than punching, on rare occasion. I suppose I'll be getting used to seeing yours around. Or not. Could get it mauled off on your first pledge."
Hopefully not. So, what exactly do you do here?
"Break hearts. Break faces. Break anything I feel like, really. And when the mood strikes, I assign pledges.
Undaunted who want to be among the first to see a newly discovered dungeon go through me."
Newly discovered dungeons?
"Even we haven't seen anything Nirn has to offer. Some undaunted sponsor expeditions to find new challenges to overcome. That earns them the privilege of taking the first crack.
You stake a claim on some new dungeons, I'll offer you pledges for it."
I'll be sure to speak to you once I've laid claim to a new dungeon.
"Good. Tell Maj I said to give you a key. Maybe that'll help you keep that face long enough for me to get to know it."
I'll do that.

Once the player agrees to speak to Maj al-Ragath, Urgarlag can be asked some more questions.

"Go on. Finish your business with Maj, then you can try to impress me."
How'd you get your name?
"Let's say I don't bow to tradition, especially concerning romance. Someone catches my eye, I'll win their heart.
Bloodied my blade on dozens of jealous lovers. Not to mention preachy types who can't mind their own business."
Are there a lot of those?
"In the old clans? Yeah. When Orsimer disapprove of your behavior, blades do the talking.
I'm very opinionated."
I'll keep that in mind.

PledgesEdit

White-Gold TowerEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The White-Gold Tower! The hordes of Molag Bal took it in their invasion of Imperial City. They mock us from the Ruby Throne! Toss those damn Daedra out from the highest window and put the Empire back in mortal hands!"
And if I can handle more?
"That's the right attitude! Don't just defeat them. Crush them!
Read the Obelisk Tome. Bless them with Molag Bal's might. Then butcher the Xivkyn Sovereign and her minions. Prince of Domination my arse!"
I pledge to seek out the White-Gold Tower and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Scaling the White-Gold Tower shouldn't be too hard for you. Unless I've misjudged.
Hah, I wouldn't do that to you! Only the bloodiest, most grueling tasks for my favorites."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"I expected to hear the White-Gold Tower topple from here. I suppose you'll tell me you left it standing."
I did, but I've ousted the imposter Empress Regent.
"Then I suppose I'll forgive you. Would have made for a better story my way."
So am I worthy of a reward?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "The Daedra will be back, I'm sure. Whether they bring a pretend empress again is anyone's guess. For now, victory!
Claim your key and your cut. Tomorrow we can take bets on who'll sit on the Ruby Throne."
Veteran / Hard Mode completed "If the Ruby Throne wasn't really red, it had better be now — or whatever color the Daedric imposter bled. You get the idea.
Have your key and your cut. Tomorrow there'll be more carnage. Promise."

Imperial City PrisonEdit

What's the pledge today?
"Imperial City Prison! The minions of Molag Bal made it their own. Nothing they like more than prisoners to torture. That dungeon's like a nightmare straight out of Oblivion now.
I want to see if Daedra can take as good as they give. Interested?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"How's this for insult to injury? The Lord Warden obsessively keeps record of every indignity he's inflicted.
Wipe the record clean before you turn the tables on him."
I pledge to seek out the Imperial City Prison and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Those Daedra will strip you of everything you hold dear. Makes winning it back all the sweeter."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"You don't look dead enough for a Daedric plaything. I suppose you bested the Imperial Prison?"
The Lord Warden has been defeated.
"Now that's a thing to brag about. Did he start bawling like a whelp once he learned we mortals know a thing or two about pain?"
Something like that. I take it that's worth something? / What is my reward for defeating Lord Warden Dusk?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "The Daedra never seem to stay down for long, but a reminder that we can hurt them is worth something.
Take your key and your cut. By tomorrow they may be back to get hurt again!"
Veteran / Hard Mode completed "You burned the Warden's Tome and made a prisoner of him. Can't think of a more fitting end for that scum. Well done!
Take your prize! We'll see if you can outdo this feat tomorrow."

Ruins of MazzatunEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The Ruins of Mazzatun! A city under constant construction. Built up and torn down without any rhyme or reason. The Argonians living there decided it must not be going fast enough. Started enslaving other tribes. Can't have that, can we?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"The tribe claiming the ruins are lead by a mad alchemist, Tree-Minder Na-Kesh. She's up to something with the amber glop pooling under the Hist tree. Using it to drive her people and their slaves mad.
Burn her notes and be done with her."
I pledge to seek out the Ruins of Mazzatun and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"I love Black Marsh. Every step is a dance with death! Every stinking breath may be your last! I ever settle down, it'll be there."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"Quite a musk you've acquired. Attractive. Was perfume all you acquired from the Ruins of Mazzatun?"
No. I've killed Tree-Minder Na-Kesh.
"Now I'll never know the secret! Ah well, nothing a quick roll in the bog muck can't fix. No harm done.
Except to the tattered remains of all those Argonians."
What have I earned for defeating Tree-Minder Na-Kesh?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Those Xit-Xaht didn't put up the fight I'd hoped. You're not even limping! Still, you did as I asked.
Here's your key and cut. Tomorrow I'll at least try to maim you a little."
Veteran mode completed "Cut the head off the serpent—Lizard? Whatever—the body dies with it. The Xit-Xaht are scattered and leaderless. They won't be bothering anyone anytime soon, even if they do survive.
You earned your key and cut today. Do it again tomorrow."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Bet she erected a few choice spines after you destroyed her insane scribblings! She look more like an angry porcupine, or a scared cat? Either way, I'll be drinking to you tonight!
Take your due and come back tomorrow. Just don't make it early."

Cradle of ShadowsEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The Cradle of Shadows! The darkness itself threatens to consume you. Assassins in every nook and cranny. Spider-loving fanatics to the last. They'll slit your throat and drink your blood if you let them.
No concern to you, right?"
Right. And if I can handle more than that?
"That lair is run by the Lady of Lace, but it's Mephala they all answer to. Worship, more like. Pah.
Find the Lady of Lace's idol and defile it. She won't toy with you then."
I pledge to seek out the Cradle of Shadows and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"How scary can a Lady of Lace be? Bring me her head and we'll drink to it. Or out of it."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"I got your word that you'd delve the Cradle of Shadows. Don't tell me you're afraid of the dark."
I have killed Velidreth, the Lady of Lace.
"Good! I'd have torn your head off otherwise. Never suffer a coward their head.
I hope you deprived more than a few from those filthy shadow-skulkers."
More than a few indeed. Does that merit a reward? / What have I earned for destroying the Silken Ring?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Hmph, did they call it the Cradle of Shadows because it was full of suckling babes? Ridding the world of spider-worshipers is always worth something.
Key. Cut. And shake off those webs before you find a bed."
Veteran mode completed "I don't know. Killing some coward assassins doesn't sound impressive to me. I suppose you killed a lot of them.
Fine. Your key and your cut. Tomorrow we'll find an enemy brave enough to face you head on."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Hah! Spit in Mephala's face and crushed her greatest minion like a bug! I could kiss you if you weren't covered in Daedra spittle.
Maybe I'll make it up to you tomorrow. Until then, settle for your key and cut."

Bloodroot ForgeEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The Bloodroot Forge. Legend says it beats and thumps like a living thing, pounding out hot steel with the force of a mountain.
My kind of place, if it weren't crawling with Reachmen and minotaurs eager to quench their fresh blades in blood."
And if I can handle more than that?
"The Forge takes on a life of its own when it's gorged on slaughter. Once you've stoked it with the blood of your enemies, invoke the Scroll of Glorious Battle before you shatter the murderous Earthgore Amalgam that's formed in its molten heart."
I pledge to seek out the Bloodroot Forge and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Break me off a piece of the Bloodroot Forge while you're there. It'll get you farther than flowers."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"You stink of blood, sweat, and iron. I like it. Did you work up that musk in the Bloodroot Forge?"
Yes. I've silenced the Bloodroot Forge, for now.
"My gut tells me an ancient magic forge isn't going to stay unclaimed for long now that it's been rediscovered.
Suits me fine. Maybe the next band of squatters to start sacrificing their neighbors will put up more of a fight, eh?"
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for cleansing the Bloodroot Forge?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Reachmen are a lot like the old Orc clans, just dumber and weaker. What they lack in strength, or smarts, or honor, they make up in vicious brutality.
Not everyone's got the guts to face a slow painful death, so that merits a key at least."
Veteran mode completed "Takes some grit to rip out your own heart and stick some shiny rock in its place, so I suppose those Dreadhorn warriors were worthy of a tidy reward.
Your key and cut. Tear one out for me next Heart's Day and maybe I won't break yours."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Slaughtering the beasts of the Reach until that primal Forge coughed up a lump of molten rage, and then beating that into a thousand bits too? We'll be calling you the "Butcher of Bloodroot" after this.
Take your spoils, Butcher. You earned them."

Falkreath HoldEdit

What's the pledge today?
"There's a whole slavering army of Reachmen and minotaurs laying siege to Falkreath Hold as we speak. The Nords won't hold off another attack, not without help anyway, and who better to stand with them against certain death than the Undaunted?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"The Reach army is led by a real titan of a minotaur. Wades through men like ants and spits fire, if you believe that.
Sounds the Jarl's warhorn in defiance of the beast and you're sure to have it seeing red before you lock horns!"
I pledge to defend Falkreath Hold and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Nothing like fighting a horde of beastmen to keep you warm. Better than any fire!"

When returning after completing the pledge:

"Well, you didn't get gored or trampled to dust. Can the same be said for Falkreath Hold?"
Falkreath Hold will stand another day, thanks to me.
"Nords have a knack for finding death and glory, I'll grant them that. Seems a bit lazy to have all the killing come to you in the comfort of stone walls, but since you kept the place on the map I suppose I'll overlook it."
And my reward? / What's my reward for saving Falkreath Hold?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Besting those mangy curs wouldn't be much to brag about, if you hadn't been facing them down fifty-to-one, and all those minotaurs, and the angry dead—from what I hear—so I suppose you earned your key and cut.
Let the Nords toast you tonight!"
Veteran mode completed "For marching right into the middle of a pitched battle and sending those rampaging beasts off with their tails between their legs? I'd say routing an army is worth a key and cut, even if it was a shabby one."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "The Nord-songs claim you waded through the enemy like the wrath of Molag Bal, took that bull warlord by the horns, and pitched him clear over the Jerall Mountains. You can show me how you wrestled him down after a few drinks.
Take your spoils."

Scalecaller PeakEdit

What's the pledge today?
"Scalecaller Peak was once a Dragon Priest's temple, but now it belongs to some truly sickening cultists. The place is riddled with the strange disease they've cooked up, infecting and enraging all the creatures that live there."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Defeating a Dragon Priest is no small feat, but why not challenge yourself a little more?
Once you've dealt with the petty creatures and cultists, invoke the Scroll of Glorious Battle to call forth Zaan the Scalecaller in all her terrible might."
I pledge to seek out Scalecaller Peak and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Don't come back with some incurable disease, you hear? I'd hate for it to start spreading around camp."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"No boils or coughing, it looks like. Can I assume you were victorious then?"
Yes. I've cleared out Scalecaller Peak.
"In my experiences with cults, they're never really gone. Like a rash that develops after a particularly fun night.
Well, if they keep coming back then we'll just keep killing them. Simple solution, really."
And my reward? / What's my reward for clearing Scalecaller Peak?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "You know, facing off against a foe? Well, that's just another day for us. Facing off against a plague? Now that takes some guts.
There's a few Undaunted who would even consider this pledge, but here you are. I'd say a reward is in order."
Veteran mode completed "Heard those creatures in that mountain aren't right. Seems this disease has them riled up, aggressive as all Oblivion. Would have been just my type of pledge, if not for all the pus.
I'd say you earned yourself a reward … and a good scrub down."
Hard Mode completed "I can just imagine it. You and Scalecaller, weapons raised, clashing on the snowy mountaintop in a battle for the ages … Well damn, maybe I should have been a bard.
Here's your reward, and a promise that I won't be taking up poetry anytime soon."

Fang LairEdit

What's the pledge today?
"Some bony pit called Fang Lair. Got a ring to it. One of our Trailblazers, Yisareh, says the place has got a mess of necromancers stuck in its teeth.
How about you work out the unsightly bits with something pointy and show me a killer smile?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"Sounds like Orryn the Black is summoning something nasty. I say let him. Better yet, read his notes and help make it the meanest stack of bones to take up walking. Then grind them both to dust.
That'll prove who's the real Undaunted here."
I pledge to seek out Fang Lair and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Don't care much for undead. No joy in killing something with no will to live."

When returning after completing the pledge:

"You smell like must and grave dust. Hope you showed those necromancers that death's not so pretty."
Fang Lair is free of the necromancers and their undead.
"So you say … but I don't think you're bluffing. Too much swagger in your strut.
Looks good on you."
Hopefully, so will my reward. / What's my reward for clearing Fang Lair?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "I'll tell Yisareh she'll need to find more than brittle bones and pasty necromancers for future pledges. They don't put up enough of a fuss.
For turning Fang Lair back into a plain old graveyard. You've earned your key and your cut."
Veteran mode completed "When I sent you to kill that lot of necromancers, I didn't expect you'd get to tangle with anything as nasty as a Dragon! Dead or not, I'm jealous.
You're gonna tell me all about it over drinks sometime. Take your key and cut, Dragon Slayer."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "I don't think it gets better than letting a schemer finish their master plan to perfection, then kicking the whole thing over! Did he cry? Haha!
For killing Orryn the Black and smashing his pet Thurvokun to pieces, you've earned your key and cut!"

Moon Hunter KeepEdit

What's the pledge today?
"Moon Hunter Keep used to be a base for the Silver Dawn, an order of werewolf hunters. Now it's been overrun by the very beasts they seek to eradicate. Talk about ironic.
We need you to clear the place out. Hope you're not allergic to dogs."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Vykosa is going to be your toughest opponent. Legends say she was turned into a werewolf by Hircine himself. A worthy adversary if I ever heard of one.
Evoke the Scroll of Glorious Battle, and make your fight even more legendary."
I pledge to seek out Moon Hunter Keep and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I've cleared out Moon Hunter Keep.
"Well done! I'd put down good gold that the Silver Dawn will reclaim it within the month. And take all the credit for clearing it out too, no doubt.
But we Undaunted will always know it was you that took out that pack of strays."
And my reward?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "I've always found that werewolves aren't too hard to kill. Nasty brutes, sure, but they're always dumb as the curs they take after.
Still, you've certainly bloodied your hands to my satisfaction. And that deserves a key."
Veteran mode completed "I've got to admit, the Moon Hunter Pack was something else. It's not everyday that werewolves are able to take over a Silver Dawn base! But in the end, even they couldn't go up against a true Undaunted.
Your key and cut, as promised."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Slaughtering your way through a bunch of cursed curs is one thing. But defeating Vykosa? If the legends are true, she's been hunted for centuries. And here you are, the one who finally put her down.
Here's your spoils. You certainly earned them."

March of SacrificesEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The Great Hunt. A savage contest hosted by Hircine himself. You'll have to fight your way through his realm of Oblivion in order to capture his grand prize.
He calls the place the March of Sacrifices. For obvious reasons."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Hircine revels in the brutal combat between his contestants. And the way I hear it, your greatest competition is the werewolf Balorgh.
Taunt the Orc by burning his pack's banner, and show Hircine what you're truly made of."
I pledge to seek out the March of Sacrifices and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I made my way through the March of Sacrifices.
"That's what I like to hear! Be it ancient ruin or Daedric Realm, the Undaunted always come to dominate.
I'm sure you're just scrambling to get back there, but don't worry. I'll be on a lookout for any other Great Hunts that Hircine announces."
And as for my reward?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Hircine's little challenge was nothing against your might. And hey, not everyone has the guts to wade through a Daedric Prince's backyard of monstrosities for bragging rights.
That earns you a key, I'd say."
Veteran mode completed "Chasing down a ferocious beast in a Daedric realm while being hounded by werewolves and worse is no easy task. Here's your well-earned key and cut."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Hunting down a murderous indrik, tearing out its heart, and then taking that trophy back from your strongest rival? Now that's a worthy tale.
Take your spoils. You earned them."

FrostvaultEdit

What's the pledge today?
"Frostvault. The Trailblazers caught wind of an expedition into some recently unearthed Dwarven ruin that's been trapped under ice for who knows how long.
Can't let some twiggy academics be the first ones to set foot in the place in a thousand years."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Word is this Dwarven vault is a death trap meant to keep what's there from ever seeing the light of day. I want you to raise the alarm before you face its guardian and smash your way through every last contraption those crafty bastards left behind."
I pledge to seek out the Frostvault and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Frostvault is far in the north, so bundle up! On the bright side, cold weather is good fighting weather. Takes all the sting out of the blows."

When returning after completing the pledge:

I plumbed Frostvault and cracked open the Vault of Mhuvnak.
"I hope the Dwarves left you something that put up a good fight. None of those clanking bits of scrap and steam ever wets my blade like a good flesh and blood foe, but they make for a good workout."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for raiding Frostvault?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "For all their ingenuity, those Dwarves still haven't managed to build a death trap deathy enough to keep Undaunted out of their business. Frostvault was a good effort though.
Cracking the Vault of Mhuvnak and returning Undaunted gets you a key."
Veteran mode completed "Where some see a locked door, you see an opportunity — to blow it to pieces! For making a proper Undaunted entrance into the Vault of Mhuvnak, smashing its defenses, and splattering a horde of Goblins for good measure, you've earned your key and cut."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "True Undaunted can't resist mashing a button. So what if it turns the entire place into a piping hot steam bath, or charges up some giant death contraption? Just keeps us loosened up for the fight!
Here's your reward for smashing the Stonekeeper!"

Depths of MalatarEdit

What's the pledge today?
"The Depths of Malatar. A sunken ruin filled with Meridia's eternal Purified. Slaves to her command, cleansed of disease, death, and free will.
Not a bad deal, minus the last part. I'll leave it to you to find a way to kill the undying."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Meridia loathes disorder. If slaughtering her Purified doesn't get her angry enough, burn the dictates on her altar before you beat some discord into her Symphony of Blades.
Nothing she hates more than free will and defiance."
I pledge to seek out the Depths of Malatar and return Undaunted.

When speaking to her again before completing the pledge:

"Ayleids are lucky they're all dead. I hate short-toothed wimps who kneel to Daedra. You find any in Garlas Malatar, give them a good thunk for me."

When returning after completing the pledge:

I defied Meridia's will and purged her Purified from the Depths of Malatar.
"Hah! So much for the immortal servants of Meridia! Have to admit, I'm jealous. Never had the good fortune to snuff out an undying life. Not any that still bleed anyway.
I'm proud of you, killer. It's like you're trying to impress me."
Impressed enough to reward me? / What's my reward for besting the Depths of Malatar?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Sticking it to Meridia—and all her self-righteous puppets—to claim the treasures of Garlas Malatar is worth a key. Not every day you get to thumb your nose to a Daedric Prince. Maybe next time you'll bare your arse for good measure."
Veteran mode completed "For kicking Meridia's shiny-heinie out of Garlas Malatar and returning Undaunted, you've earned your key and cut. Keep your boots polished. There's sure to be more Daedra in need of a swift kick soon."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Hmm. You did smash up the domain of a Daedric Prince. And stole from her. And showed her a few choice fingers along the way. Yeah, I'd say that merits a key or two.
The day is yours, Meridia be damned."

Moongrave FaneEdit

"Moongrave Fane. Trailblazers saw a Dragon crash into the jungles of Southern Elsweyr and followed it to a long abandoned temple crawling with long-toothed cats. Khajiit vampires, actually. Sounds like they're going to have a scaly banquet. Wreck it."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Supposedly, those leeches brought down the Dragon with the help of a Dragonguard. Not one of those pretenders with hand-me-down equipment. The real deal.
Give him a taste of Hollowfang blood-alchemy to get his heart thumping before you thump him."
I pledge to seek out the Moongrave Fane and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I destroyed the Hollowfang Clan and defeated the Dragonguard vampire, Grundwulf.
"Vampires don't impress me much. I bite harder in bed. Dragonguard vampires that eat Dragons? That's another story.
Maybe I'll have you compare."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for cleansing Moongrave Fane?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Well, it's not like you killed the Dragon. But you killed everyone who did kill it, so next best thing. Slaying the Dragonguard and his vampire cohort merits a key.
Now go wash the taste of blood out of your mouth with some ale."
Veteran mode completed "Turning Moongrave into a graveyard is worthy of reward. Put it toward some silver boot caps for the next time you run roughshod over a bunch of bloodsuckers."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "That Hollowfang alchemy got the Dragonguard's blood boiling, eh? Defeating Grundwulf at the height of his bloodlust must've been a glorious battle alright.
Gets me flush just thinking about it. Might give you more than a key next time you swing by."

Lair of MaarselokEdit

"Lair of Maarselok. Some foul Dragon's taken up roost between Grahtwood and Elsweyr and he's turning the place into a pit of decay. He's more than the Wood Elves can handle, so how about you show them how the Undaunted handle a pesky Dragon?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"The Dragon's lair is seething with the seeds of its corruption, like some kind of rotten nest. Give'em a swift kick and see if Maarselok comes after you like a swarm of angry hornets. At least Dragons don't sting, right?"
I pledge to seek out the Lair of Maarselok and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I put an end to Maarselok's corruption with the help of the Changeling, Selene.
"The giant spider-woman? Now that must have been a sight. She catch the Dragon in a huge web and wrap him up as a neat little present for you? Not much of a challenge, if you ask me."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for killing Maarselok? / What's my reward for defeating Maarselok and Selene? / Actually, Maarselok turned Selene against me. I had to fight them both at the same time.
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "You fulfilled your pledge, even if you had help from a vengeful nature spirit. Can't say I wouldn't enjoy beating a Dragon like a festival effigy given the opportunity. Just give the next one a fighting chance.
Here's your key and cut."
Veteran mode completed "Killing a Dragon's worth bragging about, even with Selene's help. From what I heard it'd already killed an army of Wood Elves before you arrived. They'll be cheering your name all over Grahtwood for slaying that monster."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Bet you thought you had a nice cozy pledge before the Dragon turned Selene against you. Not just anyone could have faced down Maarselok and the Changeling at the same time. Selene better behave, eh?
Take your reward, Undaunted. You earned it."

IcereachEdit

"Icereach. It's a spooky island fortress out in the Sea of Ghosts. Used to belong to the Nords, now it belongs to a coven of witches. The worst sort!
I don't make a habit of angering witches, but you're braver than most, eh?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"Ha! I knew you came looking for a real challenge. Your funeral, I guess.
Way I hear it, these witches really treasure their wicker totems and trinkets. Burn one of them up, and I bet the witches will give you a bloody good time."
All right, I pledge to seek out Icereach and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

Yes. I've completed the dungeon.
"Nice work. I'll tell you, that island changes hands more often that a greasy gold coin. The Nords might keep it for a while. I guess we'll see how long it takes for the next gang of Reach maniacs to snatch it back! Not until you're far away, I wager!"
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing out Icereach?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Those witches didn't know what hit them. Taking out a whole coven and their allies is no mean feat. Here is your reward."
Veteran mode completed "If the full might of the Icereach Coven wasn't enough to stop you then I'm not sure what will! Here's your key. You earned it."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Slaying witches like that is tough under the best circumstances. But when they're at their peak? I'd say it was impossible if you weren't standing here as living proof.
Well done! Here's your key."

Unhallowed GraveEdit

"The Unhallowed Grave. Way I hear it, a band of good-for-nothing graverobbers and necromancers called the Draugrkin descended on the place. Scooping up bones and ash, for some reason.
I wager those rascals will provide a fair challenge."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Well, I'm no necromancer, but I hear that their rituals are anything but stable. If you find a totem of some kind and kick it over, you're sure to stir up some real trouble!"
I pledge to seek out the Unhallowed Grave and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

Yes. I've completed the dungeon.
"Don't feel too glum. If there's one good thing about forbidden tombs, it's that they never stay empty for long! Maybe the next gang of graverobbers will put up more of a fight, eh?"
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing Unhallowed Grave?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "A whole horde of graverobbers slain, and a bone monster banished? I'd say that more than earns you a key. Well done."
Veteran mode completed "You really gave those graverobbers what for! I bet they'll tell stories about you for a long time—the few that survived, I mean.
Here's your key. Well done."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Well, I'm glad I'm no graverobber! To slay a whole mess of necromancers and their monsters while their leader's dander is up? Whoa. That takes real courage.
Here's your key. You earned it!"

Castle ThornEdit

"Castle Thorn. Some dusty old fortress tucked away in the hills of Western Skyrim. The vampire that rules the place used to keep to herself. But now we hear she built an army to start some trouble.
Well, if that's what she wants, go give it to her."
And if I can handle more than that?
"A castle filled with ravenous vampires not enough for you, huh? Ha! I love to see it."
I pledge to seek out Castle Thorn and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I stormed Castle Thorn and eliminated the Thorn Legion. / What's my reward for conquering Castle Thorn?
"I went by that castle the last time I visited Skyrim. Seemed like a nice place, if you're into the evil hideout look. Hope you didn't wreck too much of it."
I'll take my reward either way.
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Cleared out the bloodsuckers from that old castle, did you? Fewer evil vampires trying to conquer Tamriel sounds good to me. Say, if that castle is free now, maybe I could move in .…
Anyway, here's something for your effort."
Veteran mode completed "Nice work! Pretty sure I could hear the screams of old Lady Thorn from here. Imagine living that long thinking you're protected from anything, only to be crushed in your own castle. Heh—puts a smile on my face.
Take this reward for your efforts."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Incredible work! Not many people could take out an entire army of blood-crazed fiends like that. We have enough evil hordes roaming around Tamriel as it is. Knowing there's one less means I sleep a little better.
Here's something for you."

Stone GardenEdit

"The Stone Garden. A derelict Dwemer ruin buried deep underground. Rumor has it that it's now the laboratory of a deranged alchemist who's dipped into his stock one too many times. Find it and smash whatever madness he's up to."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Then plant the Undaunted banner in Arkasis's laboratory before you wreck the place, so the smug bastard knows just who bested him before he dies.
That ought to get his temper boiling."
I pledge to seek out the Stone Garden and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I assaulted the Stone Garden and ended the madness within. / What's my reward for conquering Stone Garden?
"Then I hope you did more than bash rocks, but I guess so long as the rocks were trying to kill you it'll do."
I'll take my reward either way.
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Arkasis had been terrorizing the western holds of Skyrim for years with his crazy experiments. Half the kingdom couldn't kill him, but you managed it. That's worth something.
Here's your keep."
Veteran mode completed "I heard the mad bastard in charge of that place experimented on himself whenever he couldn't kidnap his test subjects. Not just anyone has the guts to face down that kind of crazy, let alone beat it.
Take this for proving we're craziest of all."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "There's nothing I love more than taking some uppity smart-guy down a peg or six. If he wasn't crazy before you beat him, he had to have been raving mad after losing to a bunch of meat-headed misfits like the Undaunted, eh?
You do us proud."

Black Drake VillaEdit

"Black Drake Villa. A place of luxury for the former Longhouse Emperors, now abandoned and left to the Goblins.
A band of fire-slingers known as the True-Sworn have started rummaging around looking for something. We need you to clear them out."
And if I can handle more than that?
"After you empty the rest of the True-Sworn from the villa, plant the Undaunted banner before taking on Pyroturge Encratis.
He should know just who's heading his way before you snuff him out for good."
I pledge to seek out Black Drake Villa and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I drove the True-Sworn pillagers from Black Drake Villa and extinguished their plans.
"How's that fancy villa holding up these days with Leovic gone? I bet the Goblins that moved in aren't taking great care of it. They don't strike me as having a great sense of style."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing Black Drake Villa?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Heh—didn't find enough treasure laying around the halls of Durcorach's old haunt? I thought that place was littered with the stuff.
Oh, I'm just joking with you. I would never deny anyone their just reward! Here you go."
Veteran mode completed "The conquering hero returns! I heard a rumor around the inns that you stomped the True-Sworn and Pyroturge Encratis hard. Probably not the last we've heard of them, but they'll think twice before going after you again.
You earned this."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Wish I could have been there when you smashed up that fancy villa. Nothing makes me smile faster than tearing apart opulent homes. Especially in the service of taking down a haughty dolt like Pyroturge Encratis.
Just feels good, you know?"

The CauldronEdit

"We need you to head down into the Cauldron. It's an old mine that a bunch of obsessed cultists decided to take over with their pet Daedra. You can guess what kind of creepy rituals they might get up to.
Sounds like a fun challenge, right?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"After you send those otherworldly monsters packing, plant the Undaunted banner just before the fight with Baron Zaudrus. He'll put up a fight, but I bet you can handle it.
Show that kidnapping slaver the true meaning of destruction."
I pledge to seek out the Cauldron and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

Yes. I completed the dungeon.
"I heard you had to go pretty far underground to stomp out those cultists. Personally, I love fighting around lava. Really increases the danger!
Though, sometimes the smell gets overpowering."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing the Cauldron?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Sure, we've got plenty of death-obsessed cults in these lands, but people feel safer with one less running around. Especially after they hear about how thoroughly you smashed them. You earned this key."
Veteran mode completed "You showed that overgrown dolt Baron Zaudrus a thing or two, huh? I won't say he didn't deserve a sound beating after kidnapping all those people. But I'm sure it felt pretty good, too.
Here's your well-earned key."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Rescuing some Dark Elves and reuniting a father and son? Well, aren't you the hero? I bet crushing some cultist skull didn't feel bad, either.
Ha—I'm just giving you a hard time. Take your key."

Red Petal BastionEdit

"Red Petal Bastion. The stronghold of a knightly order who used to purge Daedric cults, but seem to have fallen from grace. Rumor has it they've turned all their plundered artifacts towards raiding and pillaging.
Wipe them out."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Raise the Undaunted banner in a declaration of war with the Knights of the Silver Rose. Once they know who's come to kick their teeth in, get on and do it."
I pledge to seek out the Red Petal Bastion and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I've sacked Red Petal Bastion.
"Of course you did, you're Undaunted! I don't care how many deadly Daedric artifacts a bunch of poncy knights possess, they'll never stand a chance against the likes of us."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for sacking Red Petal Bastion?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "I don't know. How much of a fight could an outfit with a name like Silver Rose put up?
But a pledge is a pledge. Take your cut."
Veteran mode completed "Heard those knights had some mighty fine trophies piled up in their vaults. Might make fine welcome gifts for thin skinned newbloods! Give me a hunk of lumber and a lump of iron and I'll take on the world. You too, I wager.
Take your prize, killer."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Heard the knight-commander of the Silver Rose was decked head-to-toe in kit straight from Oblivion. Glad you showed it's more than the gear that makes the warrior! You ever want to battle in the buff, I'm game.
Take your spoils and think about it."

The Dread CellarEdit

"The Dread Cellar. A secret Imperial prison abandoned after the Empire fell. Or it was supposed to be, because rumor has it the place is now crawling with Daedra working all kinds of unholy magic. You know what Undaunted do with Daedra, don't you?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"Word is the Daedra are summoning some kinda Incarnate that's really stirring up the muck down in Black Marsh. Plant the Undaunted banner where you find it and send it crashing back into the dirt."
I pledge to seek out the Dread Cellar and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I've cleaned out the Dread Cellar.
"Dig up any good Imperial secrets while you were burying all those Daedra? Well, save them for the campfire. I've got no time for gossip and intrigue while there are still Pledges to be paid out."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing out the Dread Cellar?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Dirty work, mucking a bunch of foul Daedra out of a moldering prison in the swamp. But we don't shy away from messy business, do we Undaunted?
Take your reward and air out your boots before the swamp rot sets in."
Veteran mode completed "Can't say I know what [sic] Incarnate even is, but it sounds impressive, at least. You can tell me all about how you sent the shaky bastard back to Oblivion over drinks later.
For now, take what's yours, Undaunted."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Not many Undaunted can claim they've beaten a natural disaster into submission—not that Hroltar hasn't tried—but you'll be the first to have me vouch for it.
Here's your prize, killer. I know who to call next time Bolgrul starts snoring."

Coral AerieEdit

"Coral Aerie. Way out off the northern coast of Summerset.
Word is a group called the Ascendant Order took roost there and stirred up a nest of bloodthirsty yaghra. Sounds like a glorious mess get stuck in, yeah? So go get stuck in it."
And if I can handle more than that?
"The one leading this band of miscreants is supposed to have once been a decorated Dominion leader known for his command of war gryphons.
Plant the Undaunted banner before you turn him and his overgrown fowl into slaughterfish bait."
I pledge to clear out the Coral Aerie and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I've defeated my foes in Coral Aerie.
"If you ever need more sunshine, I'm sure some new band of beach-loving reprobates will settle on that island again. Of course, so will the yaghra I'm betting. Either way, it'll make a good vacation spot for Undaunted to tan more than their own hides."
You can pay me again when I defeat them too. / I washed Coral Aerie clean like you asked.
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Hah, a cushy assignment if ever there was one, but even I wouldn't want to spend every day in swamps and dungeons.
Take your reward and shake the sand out of your boots. You can show me your tan lines later."
Veteran mode completed "I'm almost curious what some outfit with a name as puffed up as the Ascendant Order was doing lurking in a tidal cove like some pirates. Don't suppose it matters after what you did to them.
Good work, Undaunted."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "So, you plucked and butchered the Elf and his gryphons, huh? Hope you brought back the haunches for a feast! If not, there's plenty of meat on your bones I'd like to sink my teeth into.
Don't worry, you'd only bleed a little."

Shipwright’s RegretEdit

"Shipwright's Regret. An ancient shipyard abandoned after some deadly catastrophe. All sorts of rumors about the place, but the one thing everyone agrees on is that it's haunted.
But you aren't afraid of some ghost stories, right?"
And if I can handle more than that?
"We've heard a crew of Sea Elves are pillaging the old shipyard in spite of the rumors. Plant the Undaunted banner as a challenge to their captain and then knock the scaly bastard into the drink."
I pledge to defeat the looters of Shipwright's Regret and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I've cleansed Shipwright's Regret of plants, pirates, and undead.
"No shortage of things crawling over the bones of that old shipyard, eh? Maybe now it can rest in peace. If not, I'm sure there are plenty of Undaunted willing to go make the ghosts shut up for a bit."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for besting Shipwright's Regret?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Shipwright's Regret is back on the map, thanks to you. Nevermind that it's a graveyard. Tidying up all those rotting dead, clearing out the overgrowth, and chasing off looters. Sure you'd rather not be a groundskeeper?
Here. You earned this much."
Veteran mode completed "Ghouls, killer trees, and Sea Elf pirates. You've got some real fortitude. Come back sometime after hours so I can put it to the test.
Here's your well-earned reward, you big hero."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Word in the camp is you handed out a right beating to the denizens of Shipwright's Regret—not the least being those Dreadsail pirates and their captain.
Next time you go fishing for Sea Elves, invite me along. We'll see what bites."

Earthen Root EnclaveEdit

"The Earthen Root Enclave. Some simpering Stonelore druids said that another druid circle invaded. This wouldn't always catch our attention, but there's few who have fought druids. It could be a compelling challenge."
And if I can handle more than that?
"The leader of the invading druids is called Devyric. Rumors say he's a real bear of a leader with the strength and ego to match. Plant our banner before you take him out. That'll put him in his place."
I pledge to rid the Earthen Root Enclave of invaders and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I stopped the Firesong druid incursion.
"Something tells me that the Firesong Circle won't give up after one loss.
Now, if anyone attacked my home, I'd run them through where they stood. But I'm not a rock-loving druid. Bet the Firesong weren't expecting anyone to fight back, eh."
I'll take my reward now. / What's my reward for clearing the Firesong druids out of the Earthen Root Enclave?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Firesong isn't the most fearsome name.
Still, you faced wolves, atronachs, and druid magic. That's worth a key. Maybe the Firesongs will put up more of a fight tomorrow. Or think of a name that's actually intimidating."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "You dealt Archdruid Devyric a killing blow so strong you knocked the Spirit of Air out of him? I'm impressed and a little jealous. Maybe you can show me how you did it sometime.
Here's your reward. Be sure to stop by again, I've got my eye on you."
Veteran mode completed "Word has it that the Stonelore druids made a garden in your name. Normally, that would be a trite reward. But, they also created statues of you and that—along with all the blood you spilled—is definitely worth a key and your cut."

Graven DeepEdit

"Graven Deep. A small region within the Abecean Sea. Pirates scare each other with tales of how no one who enters ever leaves.
I hear someone sailed in anyway and found an island haunted by undead. Now's your chance to kill them all over again."
And if I can handle more than that?
"Those old ghost stories might scare cowardly pirates, but not you, huh?
If that island does have undead crawling on it, then they probably have a master. Find him. Then raise the Undaunted banner before you bury him in the deep sea."
I pledge to seek out Graven Deep and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

I dove into the Graven Deep and destroyed the lich who raised undead on the island.
"Sailing the sea, raiding a strange island, wiping out undead—that's the Undaunted life!
Liches are notorious for always coming back. Maybe you'll have another voyage in the future."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for burying Graven Deep's undead?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Putting undead into their grave isn't hard. Keeping them there? Now that's the real problem. By crushing that lich you've ensured that island stays free of any stray ghosts still floating about.
For that alone, you deserve this reward."
Veteran mode completed "Not everyone can solve a mystery that's haunted pirates for years. Maybe they'll start swapping tales about you now.
But rum-soaked legends shouldn't be your only reward. Here's the key you've earned."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Storming an unknown Dwarven base usually ends in someone gutted by a trap. But you? I bet you didn't even give it a second thought. That's what makes you truly Undaunted! Take this reward with pride."

Bal SunnarEdit

"Bal Sunnar. Some Telvanni Dark Elves built a town tucked away in the Stonefalls mountains. Word is that those strange wizards have decided to play around with time.
Sounds to me like it's time to kick the door in and find out what they're up to."
And if I can handle more than that?
"The leader of those arrogant spellslingers has a reputation for abusing powerful artifacts. No matter the consequences.
Raise the Undaunted banner, then show her what time it really is."
I pledge to enter Bal Sunnar and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

Yes. I've completed the dungeon.
"Who can trust anyone that wants to play around with time? We've got enough to deal with here and now.
I don't even think about the past! Once I've made a decision, there's no looking back. And Undaunted don't worry about the future."
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for clearing out Bal Sunnar?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "Flying around through time just to clear out some Dark Elves? Now that's true dedication. You didn't happen to hear the outcome of any Tribute tournaments, did you? I could place a few bets.
Ha! Just kidding. You did great work, Undaunted."
Veteran mode completed "The word's out—you put the fear into those Telvanni. Chasing them through the past and future before crushing everything they built? That's the true Undaunted way!
Here's your reward. Now take some time for yourself."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Those Telvanni—such sneaky little worms. Always creeping around in the shadows, whispering to each other about their plans for breaking the world.
Good thing you decided to break them instead. Here's your reward, Undaunted."

Scrivener's HallEdit

"Scrivener's Hall. Those slime-worshiping librarians just went through a change in leadership. Doesn't seem like it was too amiable though, because the old leader says he wants to reclaim the throne—metaphorical throne, of course."
Slime-worshipping librarians?
"They call themselves the Scribes of Mora. Sounds pretty dull to me. Their new leader, Valinna, thinks she's important just because she has friends in high places. If you want to deflate her ego, plant the banner. Show her what real power is."
I pledge to revert leadership of the Scribes of Mora, defeat Valinna, and return Undaunted.

When returning after completing the pledge:

Yes. I stopped Valinna in Scrivener's Hall.
"I'm suspicious of any Daedra worshiping cult who says they're pacifists.
Pacifists, soldiers, they all die the same way. And I know the moment the Scribes of Mora deal with another hostile takeover you'll be there to stop them, ey?"
I'll take my reward either way. / What's my reward for defeating Valinna in Scrivener's Hall?
Condition Dialogue
Normal mode completed "What, did the Scribes not give you a literary reward? Do librarians even know how to wield anything more mighty than their quills?
Still, a victory is a victory. Here, take this key."
Veteran mode completed "Is it true that Valinna summoned a giant spider? Or was she riding the spider? The rumors aren't clear yet. Imagining it is enough to get my blood pumping. What I wouldn't give to tear one of the legs off.
Here's your key and cut, spider slayer."
Veteran Hard Mode completed "Those scribes can't be the cowardly passive observers they pretend to be if they voluntarily walk through unstable rifts.
And you followed them into the Deadlands? Your key and cut, for not ending up as dead as you could have. I'd hate to lose you."
